Greg Hardy has once again found himself on the wrong side of the law. His latest arrest occurred on June 4 in Richardson, Texas. While details are minimal, what is known is that Hardy was taken into custody at 2:30 PM on assault charges that led to a family member sustaining bodily injury.

Furthermore, his bond was set at just $1000. Reports from TMZ reveal that the family member in question is Hardy's current girlfriend, with the alleged altercation taking place over an argument regarding allegations of infidelity.

The first arrest he was subjected to, though, took place back in May 2014. He was alleged to have physically assaulted an ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her. Two months later, he was found guilty by a judge on counts of assault and communicating threats.

Hardy responded by appealing the decision and requesting a jury trial. However, the victim failed to turn up in court, resulting in the charges being dropped. That, though, did not clear the former NFL player and ex-mixed martial artist from controversy, as pictures of his ex-girlfriend's alleged injuries surfaced online.

This badly damaged Hardy's public image, and he has remained a deeply reviled figure in sports. During his controversial stint in the UFC, he was routinely booed by enraged fans and even taunted by some of his opponents over his past legal issues.

Now, he has once again drawn public interest in his social conduct with his latest arrest, which will only reaffirm the widespread negative view that is held of him.

Greg Hardy has failed to find much success in his MMA career

After a hot start to his MMA career, Greg Hardy's run hit numerous stumbling blocks. His UFC debut against Allen Crowder at UFC Fight Night 143 was a disastrous disqualification loss after Hardy landed an illegal knee to the head when Crowder was in a grounded position.

Hardy rebounded with another two-fight win streak before going on a three-fight losing streak for a 7-5 (1) MMA record.
