Winner between Aliff and Elmehdi El Jamari could be the next challenger for Prajanchai’s Muay Thai gold, reports say

The match between Aliff Sor Dechapan and Elmehdi El Jamari could have massive consequences behind it.

Aliff and El Jamari will square off in a strawweight Muay Thai matchup at ONE Fight Night 32 on Friday, US primetime, at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.

According to a report from the Bangkok Post, the winner between Aliff and El Jamari could earn a shot at dual world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai's ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title.

The report added that the Bangkok match would be treated as a de facto world title eliminator, with the winner challenging Prajanchai for his Muay Thai gold later this year.

El Jamari, the younger brother of Zakaria El Jamari, is a stellar 27-1 in his career and is coming off a stunning first-round knockout win over Thai star Thongpoon PK Saenchai at ONE Fight Night 30.

Aliff, meanwhile, is one of the fastest-rising stars in the division and rides a three-fight winning streak ahead of his matchup against El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 32.

The Thai-Malaysian sensation is coming off a string of victories over Zakaria, Walter Goncalves, and Shamil Adukhov.

As for Prajanchai's ONE strawweight kickboxing world title, Jonathan Di Belle is set for a world title unification match against his rival.

Di Bella captured the ONE interim strawweight kickboxing world title when he upended the Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE 172 at the historic Saitama Super Arena in Japan this past March.

Aliff confident he can secure a world title shot against Prajanchai with a KO win over Elmehdi El Jamari

Aliff Sor Dechapan is hungry for a highlight win over Elmehdi El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 32.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the 22-year-old rising star believes a victory over the Moroccan sniper would secure him a shot at reigning two-sport king Prajanchai PK Saenchai's ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title. He said:

"I'm very confident that if I win this fight, I will get the chance to fight Prajanchai for his belt."
