Ryan Garcia is over the moon with his emphatic win over Devin Haney and has now taken to calling out his detractors on social media. Specifically, he is reminding ex-boxer Timothy Bradley of the latter's suggestion that he would quit his job as a boxing commentator if Garcia beat Haney.

The bold statement has now reared its ugly head as Garcia took to X/Twitter to disparage Bradley for his remarks, urging him to be a man of his word and quit commentating as he claimed he would.

"Timothy Bradley you said you would stop commentating be a man b*tch"

Naturally, Garcia did not take kindly to Bradley's dismissal of his chances against Haney, especially given how well he performed compared to everyone else 'The Dream' had faced. Not only did Garcia win and, in doing so, handed Haney his first-ever professional loss, but he also handed him his first-ever knockdown.

No one has ever managed to sit Haney down with shots, but 'KingRy's' left hook seemed to be a near-unstoppable force inside the squared circle, dropping and rocking Haney at several points. Unfortunately for Garcia, he is not the new WBC super lightweight champion despite beating Haney in a title bout.

This stems from a technicality, as he rendered himself ineligible to capture the championship belt after missing weight by three pounds. However, it is likely that Garcia will have an immediate rematch with Haney, who expressed a desire to exact his vengeance in his post-fight interview.

Come their second bout, Garcia must make weight, otherwise he risks losing yet another crack at the WBC super lightweight title.

Ryan Garcia was underestimated for several reasons before his win over Devin Haney

Ahead of his boxing match with Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia drew concern from the entire combat sports community due to his erratic behavior and random social media rants. Furthermore, Haney's record seemed better on paper, given that he was undefeated, while 'KingRy' had recently lost to Gervonta Davis.

"Listen, we've seen Ryan quit before. We've seen him take a knee before and quit."

Despite all the cards seemingly stacked against him, Garcia defied the odds and cracked open the airtight defense of a boxing wizard-like Haney to secure the win. Now, his stock is higher than it was prior.
