Welcome to today's edition of the daily Sportskeeda ONE Championship News Roundup, where we present the promotion's most important stories.

Today, we discuss a trio of stars who captured all-important career wins at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video this past weekend in Bangkok, Thailand.

Superlek Kiatmoo9 finally captured ONE Championship gold, Mikey Musumeci scored a decisive victory in his first defense of the ONE flyweight submission grappling world title, and newly minted ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov called out Regian Eersel.

#3. ONE Fight Night 6 results: Superlek vs. Daniel Puertas

ONE Fight Night 6 became the destination of Superlek Kiatmoo9’s long road to a piece of ONE Championship gold.

The multi-time Muay Thai world champion faced off with the tenacious Daniel Puertas for the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world title at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

It took a bit of time for both fighters to start launching their offensive arsenal, but the moment they did, it was pure striking magic. Neither Superlek nor Puertas gave an inch, but it was the Thai superstar who landed the more pivotal strikes.

Superlek charged at Puertas in the third and tagged the Spanish star with combinations that would’ve felled castle walls. Puertas tried to fight back in the final round, but the offense Superlek built earlier in the fight was enough for him to get the nod of all three judges.

Four fights after his first world title bid against Ilias Ennahachi in February 2021, Superlek finally got the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title he so longed for.

#2. Mikey Musumeci outlasts Gantumur Bayanduuren to retain ONE flyweight submission grappling world title

Mikey Musumeci successfully retained the ONE flyweight submission grappling world title after a dominant performance against Mongolian’s Gantumur Bayanduuren on ONE Championship’s first card of the calendar year.

The fight was all Musumeci, with the American superstar immediately pulling guard mere seconds into the match.

Though there was a brief reset, Musumeci once again put the pressure and quickly attacked Bayanduuren’s arms. When that didn’t work, ‘Darth Rigatoni’ transitioned to the Mongolian’s legs and set up his trademark ‘Mikey Lock'.

Musumeci’s submission hold should’ve forced anyone to tap, but Bayanduuren toughed it out. Bayanduuren, however, paid dearly for his resilience.

Bayanduuren may have stayed until the final bell, but he sustained so much damage that he even struggled to stand up on his own power.

Musumeci said in his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson that he heard Bayanduuren’s knee pop several times and that he was stupefied as to why the Mongolian fighter didn’t tap:

“His leg popped like 20 times, I never felt someone’s leg explode like that. He didn’t tap so the fight kept going on.”

#1. Chingiz Allazov calls out Regian Eersel, eyes lightweight belts

It didn’t take long for Chingiz Allazov to lay down his plans for expanding his potential dynasty within ONE Championship.

Allazov, one of the best pound-for-pound kickboxers in the world, did the unthinkable when he knocked out Thai superstar Superbon Singha Mawynn in the first round to become the new ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion in the main event of ONE Fight Night 6.

The Azerbaijani-Belarusian dropped Superbon three times in the first round in a show of absolute force that left the Bangkok crowd in total disbelief.

During his post-fight interview with Chilson, Allazov wasted no time establishing himself as a potential threat in another division. Allazov, who earned his fourth straight win in ONE Championship, called out ONE lightweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel.

Though he didn't say which world title he wants, Allazov expects a match with Eersel will be an absolute barnburner:

“Thank you Mr. Chatri [Sityodtong], thank you ONE Championship and guys, you know, I like a second belt to go [with this] you know. Maybe I fight 77 kilos. This guy, I don’t know his name. Eersel, yes. Yes, I like this, we will do this, go!”
