Paddy Pimblett defeated Jared Gordon via unanimous decision at UFC 282, much to the surprise of fans and fighters alike. Many took to social media to declare the fight a robbery, with Nate Diaz releasing the following series of tweets:

Joe Rogan was in the octagon preparing to interview the fighters as Bruce Buffer read Pimblett's name as the winner of the bout, and he visibly rolled his eyes. Rogan then elaborated on the fight during an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience with Dave Portnoy, and stated that he felt 'The Baddy' lost the fight.

Paddy Pimblett has now revealed that the criticism aimed at him by both Joe Rogan and Nate Diaz did affect him in the following months. 'The Baddy' recently spoke to MMA journalist Mike Bohn about the controversy surrounding his win at UFC 282.

"I don't care what most armchair [fans] say, that doesn't bother me. [But] when former pro [fighters] like Nate Diaz and that say I didn't win, and Joe Rogan is saying I didn't win, that's when you think, 'F**king hell.' People who sit on their armchair and comment on my YouTube, I don't care [them]. It's the actual pros who thought I lost [that I care about]."

Paddy Pimblett responds to being called out by Drew Dober

Paddy Pimblett was called out by lightweight contender Drew Dober following the Scouser's victory over Jared Gordon at UFC 282. Dober believes that he would expose the holes in Pimblett's striking ability, and stated that he would 'find the chin' of 'The Baddy' if they fought.

Dober spoke in an interview with Ariel Helwai on The MMA Hour in December.

"He's a cash cow, he's someone that [the UFC] will try and keep in the UFC for as long as possible... He leaves his chin out there way too long. His jiu-jitsu is a problem for sure... he might win the first round but I will find his chin."

Paddy Pimblett has shared his thoughts on Dober's eagerness to face him in the octagon. He stated that his pending ankle surgery has halted any fighting plans in a recent interview with Mike Bohn:

"It's too far away to say I'm fighting him or fighting him. People are gonna fight each other and win or lose in the time it takes me to come back [from injury]... I don't know who I'm going to fight."
