Fabricio Andrade didn’t just talk his way to world title contention, he marched through the field and laid siege to anyone who dared oppose him.

As brash and confident as he can be, ‘Wonder Boy’ is an undeniable talent and he's finally got the opportunity he’s been clamoring for. Andrade will challenge John Lineker for the ONE bantamweight world title at ONE on Prime Video 3 this Friday at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

The 25-year-old is on an impressive run of form, having gone 5-0 in ONE Championship. He is also riding an unprecedented streak of three straight first-round knockouts.

With every win getting tacked under his name, Andrade’s confidence gradually built up and it’s safe to say that he’s at an all-time high heading into his first main event in the promotion.

Andrade is now just a couple of days before his all-important showdown against Lineker. He knows more than any other person in the world that this match is the biggest of his young career.

With his eyes set on the future, Andrade knows that a lot hangs in the balance when he takes on Lineker.

That said, here are the stakes for Fabricio Andrade at ONE on Prime Video 3.

#3. Taking out the biggest name

Fabricio Andrade has listed off dangerous names in his unstoppable rise to the world title picture. However, John Lineker is unlike anyone the Brazilian star has faced before.

Lineker became the man of the bantamweight division when he sent the legendary Bibiano Fernandes into the nether realms. It’s now up to Andrade to either pledge fealty to the throne or usurp the seat and become the division’s ruler.

Knowing his personality, Andrade wants nothing more than to become the new ONE bantamweight world champion. That achievement, however, is easier said than done.

‘Hands of Stone’ is equally adept in finishing people and his 4-0 record in ONE Championship, including a streak of three straight knockouts, attests to just how fearsome the bantamweight king is.

A win for Andrade, though, would send shockwaves not just through the division, but to the whole promotion as well.

The 25-year-old knocked out Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, and Kwon Won Il to earn his world title shot. Andrade’s ascent effectively took away his prospect label, but a victory over Lineker will make him an absolute superstar in the sport.

#2. Backing up his brash trash talk

There are a few people in ONE Championship who can match up with Fabricio Andrade’s mic skills. The No.2-ranked bantamweight contender used that penchant of his to put everyone on notice.

While he’s able to build his name quite easily, his unabashed personality has rubbed some people the wrong way.

Some have called Andrade arrogant and would want nothing more than for Lineker to finally shut ‘Wonder Boy’ up.

Andrade, however, loves playing the part of the heel and a win over Lineker would turn his pre-match banter from mere trash talk to gospel prophecies.

The Tiger Muay Thai star already proved that he can back his words up when he barged through the bantamweight division. A world title victory in the Malaysian capital will certainly add to his mystique in ONE Championship.

#1. Bantamweight supremacy for Fabricio Andrade

Going on a long unbeaten run may be mightily impressive, but as long as that shiny gold belt isn’t draped on your shoulders then that streak may just be a footnote in the grander scheme of things.

Fabricio Andrade has already done the work and he believes that he’s destined to capture the ONE bantamweight world title. Even though he’s come off as cocky, to some people at least, Andrade’s path to the world championship was nothing short of poetic.

The knockout artist slowly built his profile up and defeated every opponent put in front of him. Andrade proved that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the division when he built a 5-0 record in ONE Championship.

Yet, he still lacks that piece of golden hardware that would make him the undisputed king.

Fabricio Andrade, as indomitable as he currently is, is yet to reach that level of being the absolute best. Lineker is still the ONE bantamweight world champion, but if the young Brazilian continues his trend, then it’s just a short time before a new kingdom rises in the division.
