Will Conor McGregor fight Dustin Poirier again? Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira 4 seemingly gets the Irishman interested 

Irish superstar Conor McGregor has shared his thoughts on the middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira, which headlined UFC 287 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida.

'The Notorious' uploaded a post saying that he was fond of quadrilogy fights, like the one that took place on April 9.

With the tweet, the Irishman may have hinted at a possible fourth fight against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor and 'The Diamond' have locked horns in the octagon on three separate occasions. Their first bout took place at UFC 178 in September 2014. 'Mystic Mac' made light work of Poirier and knocked him out in the opening round of the fight.

The two met again at UFC 257 in January 2021. This time, Poirier got his revenge by becoming the first man to knock out McGregor in an MMA fight.

The trilogy bout took place at UFC 264 in July 2021. The fight ended on an unfortunate note as the Irishman suffered a leg injury in the first round that halted the fight. Poirier was declared the winner by TKO that night.

The Irishman is currently preparing for his comeback fight against Michael Chandler this year. After that, it is possible for the UFC to set up a fourth encounter between 'The Notorious' and Poirier.

Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have faced off a total of four times in combat sports. Their first two fights took place in kickboxing and both times, 'Poatan' emerged as the victor.

Their first UFC encounter took place at UFC 281. That night, the Brazilian scored a comeback knockout in the fifth round to dethrone Adesanya and hand him his first MMA loss at middleweight. It was also the first time Adesanya got finished in an MMA bout.

But on April 9, Adesanya bounced back and finished Pereira, proving that he was the rightful heir to the middleweight throne.
