Diablo 4 is one of the most anticipated RPGs this year. Fans of the franchise will finally get their hands on the sequel that was teased in 2019. Players can expect new quality-of-life features, a new battle pass system, and many other interesting additions.

Diablo fans do have some reservations about battle passes in the franchise, especially after the pay-to-win model that Diablo Immortal had looked to employ last year. However, Blizzard is promising that things will be different this time around.

Diablo 4’s battle pass system will be more consumer-friendly, so players can earn some of the coolest cosmetics that the title has to offer without any hiccups. This guide will go over the functioning of the battle pass system in the upcoming title, including its price, rewards, and the best ways to level it up to unlock the various tiers.

When will the Diablo 4 Season of the Malignant season pass begin?

The new season pass for Season of the Malignant will go live on July 20, alongside the new season.

You can look forward to the following features in every Diablo 4 seasonal battle pass.

How much will every season battle pass cost in Diablo 4?

The base version of every seasonal battle pass in the RPG will cost you 1000 Platinum, which equates to approximately $9.99 in real-world currency. However, if you are a bit more serious about your cosmetic game, then you can get your hands on the Accelerated battle pass introduced by Blizzard.

The Accelerated version will cost 2,800 Platinum, which is around $24.99 in real-life currency. It will come with 20 tier skips as well as an exclusive cosmetic reward.

Fortunately, there will also be a free track for those who do not want to invest in the battle pass. It will include quite a few rewards and cosmetics, but the more exclusive tiers on the pass will be locked in this case.

Blizzard has promised that the battle pass tiers will not have any pay-for-power or pay-to-win options, and the premium rewards will only be cosmetic in nature. Every seasonal battle pass in Diablo 4 will come with 90 tiers, which will be split into 27 free tiers and 63 premium tiers.

What rewards can you get from every Diablo 4 seasonal battle pass?

The content and rewards for every seasonal Diablo 4 battle pass will more-or-less remain the same. Players can look forward to the following:

  • XP boosts
  • Cosmetic skins for weapons and armor
  • Emotes
  • Ashes
  • Platinum

Apart from the cosmetics, the pass will also feature rewards contributing to seasonal progression in the game. The XP boost will be all about reaching the level cap with your character as soon as possible, while the Platinum reward will make it more convenient for you to buy the next premium battle pass or anything else you may want from the shop.

Unfortunately, the Platinum obtained from the battle pass will not nearly be enough to purchase the next seasonal pass. Hence, you will still have to invest some amount of money regardless.

What are the best ways to level up your battle pass in Diablo 4?

To level up your battle pass, you should focus on completing the various objectives in Sanctuary, especially those that are preset in the Season’s Journey chapters. When completed, they will provide you with Favors, which you will need to level up your battle pass in the game.

Favor is an incredibly important resource in the RPG, just like Gold. Much of your grind will go towards obtaining large quantities of it. Favors will be required to unlock battle pass tiers, level your character, and unlock new Paragon Boards.

The best ways to get more Favors in the game will be to complete the main narrative, take part in world quests, complete dungeons in Nightmare, and defeat the occasionally spawning world bosses in the game.

How long will it usually take to complete an entire battle pass in Diablo 4?

The total amount of time required to complete an entire battle pass in the game will differ from player to player. It will depend on how they are going about completing the various activities in Sanctuary. However, the developers have confirmed that it will take an average of 80 hours to complete every seasonal battle pass.

This is a rough estimate, and the more dedicated players can expect it to be much sooner than what’s proposed.
