Christmas will come early for one lucky team this year. Odell Beckham Jr. is nearing a decision on his next team, and the New York Giants are not entirely out of the picture.

According to alleged pictures posted by his driver on Instagram, the wide receiver could be heading to New York for the rest of the season.

Fans reacted to the news in a loudly mixed fashion. Many expected the Giants to miss the playoffs but also claimed that his previous ties to the city make a compelling case nonetheless:

After tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl earlier this season, it has been a long road to recovery for the star wide receiver. Since February, fans, general managers, and pundits have speculated about which team the wide receiver will sign with. At one point, the Los Angeles Rams seemed to be his top destination.

However, that has shifted to what appears to be a showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. The team that gets the wide receiver could be the team that makes the playoffs.

For Beckham, of course, the choice will be a personal and a professional one. Will the wide receiver elect to join his next team on a one-year basis like last season, or is he ready to settle down for the last chunk of his career?

With so many suitors lining up, fans likely wouldn't be shocked if the wide receiver got a long-term offer from a franchise. However, many have claimed that the wide receiver is more interested in chasing Super Bowls.

That said, with one championship already under Beckham's belt, will he be satisfied if a big offer comes around?

Teams will be banking on his ability to open up secondaries at a rate similar to last season when he earned about 500 yards in 14 games despite a notorious lack of targets during his six starts with the Cleveland Browns.

Some may expect at least one season in which he earns what he did in 2019 after an entire season of rest. In 2019, he registered 133 catches for 1,035 yards. If he can play at that level, the team that gets him will have a No. 1 receiver after Thanksgiving, which would be an impressively rare windfall.
