Alessandro Rosina: A Brief Biography

Alessandro Rosina is an Italian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Serie A club Siena. Rosina started his career at Cittadella del Capo youth team at the age of five, where he caught the eye of Juventus, Roma and Milan scouts. However he decided to join Parma, honouring his father\'s decision. Rosina spent 2001–2002 playing for Parma Primavera team and was promoted to the first team, the following season. He made his professional debut on 16 February 2003 against Juventus as a substitute for Hidetoshi Nakata. Rosina was a member of B squad in 2003–04 UEFA Cup. In January 2005 he was loaned to Hellas Verono for a season at the end of which he was bought by Torino. He was with the Serie B club from 2005-1009, playing in 143 matches and scoring 32 goals. On July 31, 2009, Rosina was sold to Russian Premier League club Zenit St. Petersburg on a four year contract for a fee in the region of €7 million . On January 29, 2011, before the start of Russian Premier League 2011–12 season, Rosina was loaned to Serie A side Cesena until July 2011. After his loan deal with Cesena came to an end, Rosina returned to Zenit and was subsequently registered for Russian Premier League football, winning his second Russian Premier League title in April. On 31 Augusut 2012, Rosina was sold to Italian Serie A club Siena.
