Borja Fernandez is a Spanish footballer, born on Jan 14, 1981, he plays for Real Valladolid as a defensive midfielder.
Background
Borja represented Real Madrid in 23 games. He came through the youth system at Real and became a first team player in 2003. He then moved to Real Valladolid and played in La Liga.
Debut
Borja joined the Real Madrid Academy in 1996 in which he was selected for his good performances in team C and team B after which he was included in the senior team in 2003.
He represented Spanish national team in 25 games at U-16, U-17, U-18, and U- 21 levels since 1998.
Rise To Glory
In Hero Indian Super League 2014, his team, Atletico de Kolkata won the Indian Super League twice, in 2014 and 2016.
His team, Deportivo de La Coruna won the Spanish second league in 2011.
Low Points
2013 didn't turn out to be a good year for him, when he had to miss four games for Getafe CF as result of injuries.
