Born on March 21, 1993, Francellis Montas Luna is currently signed to the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). Internationally, he plays for the Dominican Republic national baseball team. Montas has played with the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, and Chicago White Sox in his Major League Baseball career till now.


In 2009, Montas joined the Boston Red Sox as an international free agent. In 2013, he was dealt to the White Sox. After making his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2015, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. During the season, the Dodgers traded Montas to the Athletics after he missed time due to injury.
