Juan Fernandez: A Brief Biography
Juan Fernández La Villa is a Spanish field hockey player, who is affiliated with Real Club de Campo in Madrid. He along with his team picked up the gold after an impressive performance at the 2004 Champions trophy in Lahore. In 2007, the Spaniards tried to keep up their track record but had to contend with a silver medal at European Championship held at Manchester. He followed it up with another silver at the 2011 Champions trophy in Auckland. He was a member of the Spanish National Team that claimed the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, PR China. He also competed for the national team in the men\'s tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics where Spain came in the sixth position.
