Kieran Govers: A Brief Biography

Kieran Govers is an Australian field hockey player who plays professional field hockey for Germany. In 2011, he played club hockey for Mannheim in Germany. He played for the local Australian club Illawarra in 2011. He plays for the NSW Warrtahs in the Australian Hockey League. He first represented Australia on the national team in 2010. Govers made the national team in 2010. He was a member of the 2010 Australian gold winning side that competed at the Champions Trophy. In 2011, he represented Australia in almost every tournament the country participated in. In February 2012, Govers scored a goal for the Kookaburras against Argentina in the four nation test series. He won a gold medal at the 2010 Men\'s Hockey World Cup and at the 2010 Men\'s Hockey Champions Trophy. In 2012, he played for the national team which competed at the Summer Olympics held in London.
