Mackenzie Robert Hughes, better known as Mackenzie Hughes, is a professional golfer from Canada, who was born in Hamilton, Ontario on November 23, 1990 to Jeffery Hughes and Sandra Hughes. When he was just 7 years old, his parents introduced him to the game of golf. While attending Kent State University, Mackenzie gained valuable experience in the college golf events. Besides golf, he is active on social media platforms, where he shares his tournament experiences. Mackenzie also loves spending time with his family.

Mackenzie Hughes competed in various tournaments as an amateur golfer, while attending his college at Kent State University. He won the Fireline Towson Invitational (2010) and Canadian Amateur Championship twice in 2011 and 2012. Additionally in 2011, Mackenzie held the record of number 1 Canadian Amateur golfer and also was a member of Canada's National Squad in 2008, 2011 and 2012.

After becoming professional in 2012, Mackenzie Hughes competed on the PGA Tour Canada & Web.com Tour and currently plays in the PGA Tour. During his professional career, he won four professional tournaments including two PGA Tours, one Korn Ferry Tour and one PGA Tour Canada. Besides this, Hughes has also played in each of the four majors championships and tied 6th with his best finish at The Open Championship in 2021. On November 21, 2020, Mackenzie Hughes achieved his career-high with rank 39 in Official World Golf Ranking.

After becoming professional in 2012, Mackenzie competed on the eGolf Professional Tour and PGA Tour Canada. In 2013, he won at the Cape Breton Celtic Classic, which was his first professional win on the PGA Tour Canada. Later, in the month of August 2016, he won the Price Cutter Charity Championship and graduated to the PGA Tour for the season 2016-17. In November Hughes won the 2016 RSM Classic. In the year 2017, he played superiorly and tied for 10th spot at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, 13th at Dell Technologies Championship and 16th at The Players Championship. Mackenzie has shown his outstanding performance in major championships too, including a T15 finish at the U.S. Open 2021 and T6 finish at The Open Championship in 2021, recording the best ever finish for a Canadian at The Open Championship. On November 21, 2020, Mackenzie Hughes reached the peak of his golf career by holding the 39th position in Official World Golf Rankings.
