Matthias Witthaus: A Brief Biography

Matthias Witthaus is a field hockey player from Germany, who was a member of the Men\'s National Team that won the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in 2012. His international debut was in 1999 at the European Nations Cup, Padua in which his team won the 1st place. H efollowed it up with a second place in the Champions trophy in 2000. He was part of the team that won gold for the Champions trophy and the World Cup in 2001 and 2002 respectively. His team also took home the gold in the 10th World Cup held in Kuala Lampur.
