Moritz Fürste: A Brief Biography
Moritz Füerste is a field hockey player from Germany. He was a member of the the team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics and at the 2006 World Cup. He is the captain of the Uhlenhorster hockey club in Hamburg. He has guided his team to success in the Euro Hockey League on two occasions, winning the title in 2007-2008 and 2009-2010. Fuerste helped his team to a second place finish in the competition in the 2008-2009 season, when they were defeated by HC Bloemendaal of the Netherlands. He was also part of the team that won the gold medal in the 2007 Champions Trophy in Kuala Lampur. He was named as the Euro Hockey League\'s Most Valuable Player in the 2007-2008 and 2009-2010 seasons.
