Jorge Luis Alcantar Bolly is a Mexican professional wrestler signed with WWE. He is best known for his work as Santos Escobar. He is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
Professional Wrestling Career
Independent Circuit (2000-2018)
In 2000, Alcantar began his wrestling career as Top Secret. In 2003, he changed his character to El Hijo del Fantasma. Alcantar rose to fame and became popular while wrestling for several top independent promotions, such as Lucha Libre, AAA, Lucha Underground, and Impact Wrestling. Alcantar was featured in several storylines and won championships during his time with these promotions.
WWE (2019-Present)
In 2019, Alcantar signed with WWE and began working with NXT. Initially, he used his original wrestling name, El Hijo del Fantasma. In 2020, he entered the cruiserweight tournament and defeated Drake Maverick in the finals to win the WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship. On NXT, he turned on Maverick and unmasked himself. He went by Santos Escobar and formed Legado Del Fantasma.
The trio consists of Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza, and Joaquin Wilde. Escobar was assisted by the duo frequently during his matches. In 2021, Escobar entered a feud with Karrion Kross, which he lost. In April, he began feuding with Jordan Devlin to become the Undisputed NXT Cruiserweight Champion. At NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, he defeated Jordan Devlin.
On NXT, he lost the title to Kushida. Escobar began feuding with Bronson Reed for the North American Championship but failed to win. Legado Del Fantasma began feuding with Hit Row. During their feud, they introduced Elektra Lopez and added her to the group. In October, Escobar lost to Isaiah "Swerve" Scott. In 2022, he began feuding with Bron Breakker. At Vengeance Day, Bron Breakker defeated Escobar for the NXT Championship.
