Shivendra Singh: A Brief Biography
Shivendra Singh is a hockey player who plays the centre forward in Indian hockey team. He started his hockey career from SAI Sefai, Uttar Pradesh. Shivendra possesses both the experience and the wherewithal of a world class striker. He team won the gold in the 2007 Asian Cup held at Chennai, India and the bronze in the Champions Challenge in Belgium. In 2009, he was part of the squad that took home another bronze at the Champions Challenge in Salta. He was a member of the the team that won a gold in the 2010 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia. In the same year he scored two superb Field goals in a thrilling match against Pakistan in Commonwealth Games, Delhi which India won by 7-4. The Air Force man is known for his trademark flight and salute celebration.
