Timothy Thatcher: A Brief Biography
Timothy Moura is an American professional wrestler best known for his work with WWE as Timothy Thatcher. He is a former Evolve and Open Gate Freedom Champion.
Professional Wrestling Career
Early Years, WXW, and Evolve (2005-2020)
In 2005, Moura made his professional wrestling debut. He spent most of his career working on the independent circuit. Moura has performed some of his best work on WXW and Evolve. He has been an Open the Freedom Gate Championship and the Evolve Championship at the same time.
WWE (2020-2022)
In 2020, Moura signed a developmental deal with WWE and began working for NXT. He filled in as a replacement for Pete Dunne to defend the NXT Tag Team Championship with Matt Riddle. Later, he began feuding with Riddle and defeated him in a Fight Pit match.
After Riddle, Thatcher began feuding with Finn Balor. At TakeOver XXX, Finn Balor defeated Thatcher. In the end, he feuded with Ciampa where he lost to Ciampa at TakeOver WarGames and defeated Ciampa in a Fight Pit match on NXT.
In 2021, he began teaming up with Ciampa and entered the Dusty Rhodes Classic. The duo was eliminated in the semifinals by GYV. In July, they faced MSK for the NXT Tag Team Championship and lost. In 2022, Thatcher was released from the company.
