Born on July 13, 1994, Tyler Lawrence France is an American professional baseball player who plays first base for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his Major league Debut with the San Diego Padres in 2019.
He was drafted 1017th overall, in the 34th round of the 2015 MLB draft by the San Diego Padres. He signed with them and received a signing bonus of $100,000. France made his professional debut with the Class A Short Season Tri-City Dust Devils in 2015, hitting .294/ .425/ .391/ .816 with 36 RBI and one home run. He was promoted to the Major Leagues on April 24, 2019 and made his Major League Debut two days later, hitting a pinch hit single in his first at bat. In a game against the Kansas City Royals on April 23, 2022, France went 5-for-6 with a home run to earn his first career five-hit performance. France was named American League co-players of the week on April 25. Mike Trout was forced to withdraw due to injury, and France was selected for the 2022 MLB All-Star Game.

France attended South Hills High School in West Covina, California. From 2013 to 2015, he attended San Diego State University to play college baseball following high school. In 2013, he was the Bethesda Big Train's Outstanding Hitter while playing summer college baseball. He hit 336 in 64 games during his junior season of 2015, which included four home runs and 49 RBIs. He concluded his career at San Diego State with a three-season 337/ 428/ 470 line. The San Diego Padres selected him with the 1017th overall pick in the 34th round of the 2015 MLB draft, and he agreed to a $100,000 signing bonus. He spilt the 2016 season between the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps and the Class A-Advanced Lake Elsinore Storm. In 2017 he split his season between the Lake Elsinore and the Double-A San Antonio Missions. During the 2018 season he split his time between San Antonio and the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas. The Padres added him to their 40-man roster after the 2018 season. He was sent back to El Paso where he opened his 2019 season. He finally made his debut on April 26.
