Haymitch, known for his cleverness, formed an alliance with two other tributes, Chaff from District 6 and Beetee from District 3, and they managed to survive until the end.

In the final moments, using his knowledge of the arena and quick thinking, Haymitch seized a moment of distraction to defeat the last tribute, a girl from District 1. While he emerged victorious, the experience left him deeply affected, struggling with trauma and turning to alcohol.
