Orphan Black: Echoes, the spinoff of the original Canadian science fiction series titled Orphan Black, has come out with an official teaser from AMC. As seen in the teaser trailer, Krysten Ritter of Jessica Jones fame is at the center of the storyline. The actor is back to television after her Marvel series ended in 2019. Like the original series, Orphan Black: Echoes explores the misuse and corruption brought on by scientific manipulation of human existence. Similar to the original where the lead was played by Tatiana Maslany, the spinoff will follow a group of women who run into each other’s lives uncovering the mystery of their identities in the backdrop of betrayal and love.

Set in the future decades down the line, the advancement in cloning technology will have produced new experimental subjects who go about solving their challenge of identity crisis. As Lucy’s amnesia-ridden snaps of memory show in the teaser, there are knives and blood involved in the story that has women subjects involved in the cloning project as they embark on their journey for self-discovery.
