Rapper D4vd reportedly legally transferred two of his Texas homes to his mother on the same day that Celeste Rivas Hernandez's body was found. The rapper's name was associated with the death of the 14-year-old, whose decomposed body was found in the trunk of his Tesla last month.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, D4vd transferred two of his Houston-area residences to his mother, which were previously linked to his name under a trust. Per the legal documents, the two changes were put into action on September 18 and September 22. The first date marks the same day as when Celeste Rivas Hernandez's body was officially identified.
Hernandez was reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, last year. On September 8, LAPD officials discovered her decomposing body in the trunk of the Tesla registered under the rapper's name. Ten days later (September 18), the body was identified as that of Celeste Rivas Hernandez and returned to her family on September 23.
Ahead of the identification on September 17, LAPD detectives also issued a search warrant for the 1300 block of Doheny Place, a residential property associated with D4vd. At the time of the search, the rapper was reportedly not present at the property, but his parents and siblings were there.
The 19-year-old rapper, legally known as David Anthony Burke, has since then cancelled his upcoming tours and halted the release of his deluxe album, Withered. He has also not made any public statements on the matter.
D4vd has not been named a suspect in Celeste Rivas Hernandez's death

As of this writing, D4vd has not been named a suspect in Celeste Rivas Hernandez's death. However, he is part of the investigation after her decomposed body was found in a Tesla trunk registered under his name.
It is worth noting that both D4vd and Celeste had matching tattoos on their index finger of the word "Shhh." Many netizens have also linked the rapper's music to the deceased teenager, claiming his songs mentioned Celeste. Moreover, Burke also removed his European leg tour dates after the discovery of the body.
In an interview with PEOPLE, LAPD Commanding Officer Scot M Williams shared more information about the case. He said that Celeste Rivas Hernandez may have passed away days before her body was discovered, since she was reported missing last year.
"We know that the Tesla had been parked at the location from which it was towed for several weeks, so it is very likely Celeste Rivas Hernandez had been dead for several weeks prior to her body being discovered," he said.
He also shared an update about Celeste's cause of death:
"The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not determined a cause or manner of her death, so we don't know for sure if anyone has any criminal culpability for her death beyond the concealment of her dead body."
Weeks after her body was discovered, a funeral was held for Celeste Rivas Hernandez at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary in Rowland Heights in California, on October 16. The 14-year-old was put to rest in the presence of her family members.
