The original tweet that Musk had reposted was shared by the non-profit organization, Turning Point USA the same day. In that post, the organization had expressed its appreciation for the sympathy and encouragement it had received since Kirk’s death.

“We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support for the Kirk family and for our organization during this incredibly difficult time. We are especially grateful to those who have reached out asking how they can help,” Charlie Kirk’s organization wrote in their post.

Along with the message, the group had also provided multiple ways for supporters to take action. They shared links to “support the Kirk family,” to contribute directly to TPUSA in order to “further Charlie Kirk’s legacy,” and to “get involved with TPUSA.” The post also had links to direct readers to shop for official TPUSA merchandise as a way to “support” Kirk’s and the organization’s “mission.”

Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10, when he was shot in the neck while addressing an audience at Utah Valley University, Elon Musk has been very outspoken in his response. The billionaire, who owns X, has repeatedly condemned online celebrations of the killing and directly criticized both political groups and tech rivals.

Musk initially posted on X that the “shot” to Kirk’s neck looked “real bad” but expressed hope that Kirk might survive “somehow.” In another post the same day, he claimed that “Left” was a “party of murder.”

After Kirk’s death was confirmed, Musk went on a posting spree on X.

On September 11, 2025, he reposted a video of Donald Trump blaming the left for Kirk’s murder. He also commented on a post that alleged his rival social network BlueSky hosted content “celebrating” the assassination,”

“They are celebrating cold-blooded murder,” he wrote

He further commented on the same post adding that those celebrating the killing had revealed their true nature and that they were “Evil people.”

By September 13, Elon Musk had shifted his attention toward Microsoft after screenshots circulated online alleged that some Blizzard employees had mocked Charlie Kirk’s death. Quoting a thread that included screenshots of names and posts of alleged Microsoft employees, Musk publicly challenged Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, asking on X:

He followed up with a separate post, stressing that the thread appeared to feature posts from “Microsoft employees.”

In response, Microsoft also issued a statement on X, distancing itself from the remarks. The company emphasized that it was aware of the situation, investigating those involved, and stressed that “comments celebrating violence” did not “align” with their company “values.”

On September 14, Musk once again used X to voice his views, this time by sharing a video. In it, he stressed that Charlie Kirk’s murder revealed what he described as a violent and celebratory attitude among political opponents on the left. He argued that their reactions exposed a deeper problem in political culture.

“And then you see how much violence there is on the left, with our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week, and people on the left celebrating it openly. The left is the party of murder, and celebrating murder. I mean, let that sink in for a minute. That’s who we’re dealing with here,” Elon Musk said

As per a New York Post report dated September 11, 2025, Elon Musk, along with several prominent Republicans and outspoken media figures, have faced a wave of threats on Bluesky in the immediate aftermath of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

On the other hand, authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with Charlie Kirk’s death. Robinson is currently being held without bail at Utah County Jail, while the investigation into Kirk’s murder and the suspect’s motive remain ongoing.
