“Makes me cry”: Fans emotional as BTS Jimin reveals Jin presented his two months' worth of military salary and a cute coin bag for his 28th birthday

On October 13, 2023, BTS Jimin made headlines by celebrating his birthday with his fans—the BTS ARMY—where he talked about his solo upcoming project, meeting fellow team member and friend SUGA, aka Min Yoongi, and more. However, what stole the spotlight was when the Like Crazy singer-songwriter mentioned meeting BTS Jin, aka Kim Seok-jin, at the military barrack.

Jimin mentioned meeting Jin and celebrating his birthday with his fellow BTS bandmate and friend. The singer said Jin gave him a small coin bag plushie with pocket money as his birthday present. Further, he mentioned that Jin had stated it was his two months' military salary.

Among fans was one fan who translated his statement and tweeted about it, while another commented that Jin's gift made her want to cry.

Jimin said,

"I met Jin hyung, he gave me this on my birthday, he even gave me pocket money in it. Thank you, hyung, I'll eat something delicious with this. He said it's his salary of 2 months...thank you hyung, it's a memorable gift."

Furthermore, on the occasion of the Like Crazy singer-songwriter's birthday, BigHit Music released a pre-birthday celebratory gift for the fans on its YouTube channel. The Weverse's Keyboard Interview of the star, per the official promotion schedule of the upcoming documentary film Jimin's Production Dairy, shared some behind-the-scenes of the film.

During the Weverse's Keyboard interview, the singer revealed that his most precious birthday gift was during pre-debut when his six members pitched in to buy him a bracelet despite any certainty of Jimin even debuting with them. He then shared that he had kept it safe for a decade but recently lost it while shifting his house and apologized for it in the interview.

Nevertheless, during the Weverse LIVE on October 13, 2023, another BTS member and the group's leader, Kim Namjoon, aka RM, made a surprise entry. They wished the Like Crazy singer-songwriter many happy returns of the day. The BTS ARMY stormed X, formerly Twitter, and expressed their feeling about Jin's gift.
