29-year-old Argentine singer and former model Fede Dorcaz was tragically killed in Mexico City. He was a rising Latin pop artist who had recently transitioned from singing to television.
Fede Dorcaz’s fatal incident occurred on October 9. As per Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security, the singer was shot in the neck while driving home from a dance rehearsal. He died instantly at the scene.
Addressing the tragedy, the Secretariat of Citizen Security confirmed that Dorcaz was the victim of an armed attack. In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), dated October 10. The agency wrote:
"Personnel from #SSC learned of a man who lost his life, due to gunshot wounds, apparently due to a direct attack, on the side of the ring road #Periférico at the height of Electrificación Street, in the Ampliación Daniel Garza neighborhood, in the @AlcaldiaMHmx municipality."
The SSC also revealed that video surveillance footage from the area of the incident was being analyzed to identify the perpetrators involved in Fede Dorcaz’s incident. CCTV footage reportedly showed four male suspects fleeing on two motorcycles.
SSC also confirmed that the Public Prosecutor’s Office would soon oversee the forensic and investigative processes related to the case.

"I don’t want to spend one more day without you, baby. I’m waiting for your goodnight message. Love, please come back. You know I was never that strong without you by my side," she wrote.
The production team of Las Estrellas Bailan en Hoy also paid tribute through a heartfelt statement on X on October 10. They described Dorcaz as a valued colleague and friend, noting how he and Mariana were set to bring their real-life chemistry to the dance floor.

“We join in the grief felt by his entire family, his parents and his girlfriend Mariana Ávila. Mariana and Fede were one of our couples scheduled for the new season of Las Estrellas Bailan en Hoy. Investigation into the shooting of Fede Dorcaz's incident is still ongoing. As per multiple outlets, authorities believe the incident may have been an attempted robbery. However, no motive has been confirmed, and no suspects are currently in custody.
