Bravo is set to launch a new reality TV show, Dancing Queens, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, featuring the story of six dancer friends. Pooja Mehta is one of the cast members who is a dancer and a makeup artist. The 37-year-old Bravo newcomer also runs her own beauty company in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In the Dancing Queens trailer, Pooja was seen arguing with her husband Shimon Himovich as he implied that her dance outfits were inappropriate. In response, she sarcastically asked him if she should wear a "full-on astronaut outfit."
The CEO will be seen running her business as well as pursuing her passion for dance in season 1 of the upcoming show.
Pooja Mehta got married in a Jewish ceremony
Dancing Queens star Pooja Mehta will be a new face to Bravo fans. On the reality tv show, her personal and professional lives will be explored. Pooja, who lives in Scottsdale, AZ, is of Hindu descent and is married to a diamond seller Shimon Himovich. The two married in 2015 in a Jewish ceremony. They have two sons — Dan and Yoavi, who are raised in both Hindu and Jewish traditions.
Pooja’s parents are doctors but they never forced their daughter to follow their path. The Dancing Queens star was always a passionate dancer and was also interested in the beauty industry. Therefore, she opted to study at J.P Fleurimon, a beauty and fashion school in Paris, France.
In 2010, Pooja founded her own beauty company, Makiaj, which has given jobs to over 30 artists. In 2022, her husband Shimon opened his company, Finer Jewelry, just next to Makiaj.
According to the reality TV star’s bio on Bravo, she describes herself as a “rebel," who belongs to a family of doctors. It adds that the contestant on the upcoming reality show runs a successful business.
It states that she is not the only dancer in her family and adds:
“Dancing is a family affair – Pooja and her mother and sister all dance with Colette’s ex-pro partner, Kristijan Burazer. Previously a champion in the rhythm category, she recently switched to Latin to compete alongside her family and prove that she can succeed in their category too."
Fans will see Pooja showcase her talent in Dancing Queens while managing her company and family life.
When will Dancing Queens premiere on Bravo?
The release date of Dancing Queens is Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
It is not a regular competition show and will feature the cast rehearsing for their ballroom dance tournament with their respective pro-dance partners. Amid their personal life issues, the ladies will follow their passion.

“The series follows a group of women as they invest their time and money into their all-consuming passion to vie for the top spots, respect and recognition in the world of Pro-Am dance competitions. Pro-Am combines amateur dancers competing with professional partners."

In addition to Pooja Mehta, the cast of the reality TV series will also include Colette Marotto, Donnie Burch, Gaëlle Benchetrit, Leonie Biggs, and Sabrina Strasser.
Dancing Queens will air new episodes on Tuesdays on Bravo at 9 pm ET.
