The premiere episode of NBC's The Courtship garnered a significant amount of attention from viewers. The reality dating show features the lead, Nicole Remy, looking to find love in one of the 16 suitors who are dueling to win her heart. Based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, this show is based in an environment resembling the 19th century Regency-era England.

Three men, Caleb Ward, Lewis Echavarria, and Jarrett Schanzer, were sent home by Nicole in the premiere episode of The Courtship after having failed to convince her. In the second episode, she continues her journey to find love, certainly not without drama.

Several surprises are in store for viewers, but a dramatic turnaround for Nicole will take place in the second episode. The Courtship lead finds out that Peter Saffa, one of the 13 suitors remaining, is not on the show for the right reasons.

Mr. Saffa ended up getting eliminated from the show, with Nicole's sister angrily escorting him out of the main door, an incident that clearly stunned the other suitors.

What did The Courtship suitor Peter Saffa do?

The teaser for the second episode of NBC's The Courtship was released yesterday, giving viewers a sneak peak of what they can expect. But one thing that clearly stood out in the video was Nicole's sister finding out about one of the suitors who was not there for the right reasons.

Mr. Saffa tried to win Nicole's best friend Tessa's heart and not the lead. It looks like this information has reached Nicole Remy. In an exclusive clip by NBC, she confronts Mr. Saffa about the issue and says,

"I gotta be real with you, I know what's going on," Nicole tells Peter. "I know you're not here for me. I heard that you're into my friend."

She continued,

"It's fine if you're not attracted to me, but there was a guy who got sent home last week that had feelings for me and that was incredibly tough sending him home. And it's like breaking my heart that I kept you because you made my parents feel special, you took them on that boat date. I really thought you were here for me. I'm kind of pissed off to be honest."

When the information is out in the open, the rest of the suitors are left in shock. Upon asking if Mr. Saffa had any closing words to say, he indirectly admitted to his mistake and said,

"I hope and pray that you find the man of your dreams and that's basically everything I have to say. I appreciate your time."

As he's making his exit, Mr. Saffa approached Tessa to ask for her phone number. Looking at the shocking turn of events, Nicole's sister Danie angrily escorts him to the door.

Viewers will have to tune into the second episode of the show to see the entire drama play out. While Mr. Saffa convinced Nicole in the premiere episode that he was solely there for her, the lead believed him because he had created a special bond with her parents. But after his actions, it looked like it was time for Mr. Saffa to head home.

The Courtship airs every Sunday at 8.00 pm ET on NBC.
