Wheel of Fortune, the long-running game show has been bringing back fan favorites this week and giving them another chance at winning the prize. One of the fan favorites who returned this week was Christian Dixie, who previously appeared on the show in 2020 and won $65,000. The fan-favorite currently works as a package handler for FedEx Ground and likes playing video games, making dance videos, and singing.

While Dixie appeared on the show on May 8, 2023, Wheel of Fortune will return on May 9, 2023, for another episode only on NBC.


Christian Dixie takes home the Wheel of Fortune prize for the second time

Christian Dixie, a Package Handler for FedEx Ground previously appeared on Wheel of Fortune in 2020. The Fort Wayne native and a Northrop High School graduate returned for the guessing show's Fan Favorite Week. He made it to the bonus round with only $20,000 as he correctly guessed multiple puzzles and in the end, he walked away with over $64,000.

He spoke to WANE 15 about his time on Wheel of Fortune season 40. He added that he prepared for his second appearance by playing online versions of the guessing game as well as Wordle. Dixie said that he "literally" waited for three years for that moment.

Christian added that he would consider returning to the show for the third time if they ever did a “Masters” or “GOAT” segment on the show.

After his initial appearance on the show, which aired in the middle of the pandemic, a Yahoo.com article called him “precisely what the world needs.” The contestant said at the time that having people see who he really is on a national level is “mind-blowing.” He added that he felt blessed and grateful to receive positive feedback and that people told him they felt uplifted seeing how happy he was on the show.

After graduating from high school, the fan-favorite attended Ball State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Journalism. This was followed by his time at Purdue University Fort Wayne.

He started his career working as a part-time social media contributor at The Black Sheep where he worked for three months. Following this, he began working for Taco Bell as a Drive Thru Order Taker. He then worked for FedEx as a package handler before working as a fulfillment center associate for Amazon for four months before returning to FedEx in the same role.

Fans react to Christian’s second win

The Wheel of Fortune contestant took to Twitter to announce his second appearance on the game show and people immediately recognized him. They added that they were rooting for him and congratulated him on the win.

They added that Dixie is a “joy to watch” and that he never stops smiling which is wonderful to see. Some even called him brilliant and said that they loved following him on social media.

Wheel of Fortune will return on May 9, 2023, for another episode only on NBC.
