It has been a couple of days since Jennie and V were allegedly spotted holding hands on a late date night in Paris, and fans have been discussing and debating the veracity of these pictures on social media. Their respective agencies, YG Entertainment and HYBE, released a brief statement announcing that it is the artist’s personal life and they don’t have much say in this matter.

However, according to a new report by the Korean media outlet TV Report, an insider recently revealed that YG Entertainment is working behind the scenes to find out the truth behind the issue. In addition, they are still investigating the culprit behind the photo leak. The insider revealed:

“As far as I know, the investigation into Jennie and V's photo initial leak is still ongoing."

This comes after French photographer Amar Taoualit confirmed that he photographed the idols’ together in Paris.

As YGE investigates Jennie and V’s leaked alleged pictures from Paris, the photographer clears the air about the timeline of events

As soon as Jennie and V’s alleged pictures from their late-night stroll in Paris went viral on social media, fans began wondering about the identity of the unnamed photographer who allegedly clicked their pictures together. Following the videos and pictures leak, the photographer shared the initial content and clarified the timeline of the events.

The photographer, who goes by the name Amar Taoualit, revealed via Instagram that although the photos were leaked on May 17, it was actually taken two nights before. He explained that he didn’t expect to see Jennie and V, so the pictures and videos were taken via his phone, resulting in the poor quality. Amar Taoualit further stated that he delayed sharing the photos to protect Jennie and V’s safety.

He also revealed that he didn’t mean to invite so much attention and was merely doing his job. After that, Taoualit confessed that he is awaiting for a confirmation and denial about the idols’ personal lives, much like their respective fans.

While YG Entertainment has not made any further statements regarding Jennie and V’s alleged dating rumors, the management is now pursuing the culprits who originally leaked photos of the two idols last year. In 2022, the idols were allegedly photographed vacationing in Jeju Islands, which went viral on the internet, causing mayhem amongst K-pop fans.

More pictures of them allegedly hugging and kissing went viral, gaining traction amongst ARMYs and BLINKs who continued debating if the contents were photoshopped or doctored or real. After much brouhaha, YG Entertainment confirmed that they will firmly investigate the matter and bring the culprit to light. Now, eight months after the rumours first began, the industry insider reiterated that the agency is still serious about unearthing the whole issue and disclosing the identity of the person who first leaked their pictures online.

Meanwhile, BIG HIT MUSIC chose to maintain a studied silence on the matter and have only issued statements concerning the artists' personal choice and privacy in response to these allegations. Additionally, BIG HIT MUSIC and YG Entertainment haven’t responded to photographer Amar Taoualit’s clarification as of this article's writing.
