#1 Why Chris Jericho as AEW World Champion was the right booking decision to make

Any popular TV Show has a primary conflict from its very first episode or the pilot.

This applies to Professional Wrestling as well.

Because when AEW shifts over to a weekly Television format, you need to have a primary conflict in place, so that viewers can tune in week after week to find out if there is any resolution in the end.

Hangman Page as a babyface World Champion makes the heel a title chaser, and we all know that Professional Wrestling works best with a babyface chasing for the title that is held by a heel champion.

The latter case is exactly what we might get when AEW's weekly TV Format starts from October.

Moreover, why would you not have your most commercial star (aside from Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose) as the world champion from the very beginning?

It would only encourage casual fans to tune in when they hear that a familiar wrestler is currently at the top of the company.

Forget about CM Punk, all you need to do is watch the AEW All Out Post-Show event to see how entertaining Jericho's reign already is!
