Last night's AEW Dynamite might not have been as enthralling in comparison to previous episodes, but it was still a successful show nonetheless.

All the memorable moments occurred during the second hour of the event, especially during the main event and the match before where PAC & Jon Moxley faced Kenny Omega & Hangman Page in tag team action.

Truth be told, the episode did feel stretched during the first hour. But that was probably because AEW spent time building future stars instead of putting bigger names in alternate slots throughout the night.

Here are a few interesting observations from this week's AEW Dynamite:

#3 Does AEW Dynamite suffer from a lack of multiple promos throughout the show?

Undoubtedly, AEW Dynamite is primarily a Professional Wrestling show that leans more towards being a 'sports-oriented' product.

Occasionally, a few promos will pop up now and then, and Chris Jericho is the one who has excelled in that department so far.

The Inner Circle's debut on last week's episode was partly successful thanks to Jericho's incredible promo in between.

But as far as last night goes, the featured matches were quite great, as expected, but a lack of promos could be felt throughout the episode. Of course, we saw a small video package featuring Cody in between, but other than that, the best stories were conveyed through in-ring action.

Maybe an over-abundance of promos might hinder AEW's ability to showcase its biggest strengths, but apart from wrestling matches, in-ring segments are an integral part of character development in Professional Wrestling as well.

Even though hardcore AEW fans are already aware of several pre-existing backstories featured on the show, new viewers might be confused during some instances without any prior context.

The first hour of last night's episode could have benefited from an extensive segment, but that's just a minor nitpick from another good show by AEW.

#2 How 'Chris Jericho vs. Darby Allin' showcases both superstars as polar opposites in a good way

Even though AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and Darby Allin are characterized by their unorthodox in-ring appearances, both of them have a lot of interesting dissimilarities showcased during their street fight last night.

Ironically, a young, up and coming version of Chris Jericho from the 90s would have hated his veteran persona from 2019.

Every great promotion has old veterans solidifying their positions as industry giants as well as young guns trying to dethrone the same veterans to kickstart a new era. And Chris Jericho seems to have experienced both sides of the equation.

Darby Allin was the young gun last night, who seemed to perform two moves in the time it took Chris Jericho to lay a mean clothesline, but as it is in any great story, the veteran seems to pull off a victory with the least amount of effort involved.

I love that Jericho in 2019 has a unique way of approaching storytelling in wrestling because it's not about the moves anymore - it is all about generating the maximum preferable reaction from fans during every single moment.

The fact that he duct-taped Allin's hands to his back went a long way to establish Darby Allin as a tough individual who can adapt to drastic situations. I would certainly love if the two of them went at it again.

#1 Why PAC & Jon Moxley are two sides of the same equation

Kenny Omega seems to be the ultimate target amidst this Moxley-PAC-Omega feud. But as mentioned last week, we saw how all three of them are driven by distinct goals in mind.

This week, we witnessed how both PAC & Jon Moxley approach a similar goal in two different ways - PAC, being the more level-headed superstar out of the two, cares about his stellar in-ring record and looks for the best case outcome (for himself) in every situation, whereas Moxley's approach to achieving anything is pure, unbridled chaos.

Both of them have locked Kenny Omega as a similar target, but their distinct way of approaching this goal led to some friction between PAC & Moxley last night.

Even though both of them want the same thing, a mutual dissonance in character led to Moxley breaking up the unit as a result. Moxley flipped the double bird and put his tag-partner down with the Deathrider, leaving PAC to take the pinfall in the end.

In a nutshell, I love how AEW tends to approach this feud quite differently from the rest of their programming. Actions certainly speak louder than words, and the trio of Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega and PAC seem to be embroiled in a feud that can take an unexpected turn at any given moment.
