It sometimes feels like Cristiano Ronaldo dips his head in a drum full of hair gel and then sets his hair. This tends to put off many people and makes them hate him unconsciously.

Shiny things always attract people. Be it gold for Bappy Lahiri, sex tapes for Kim Kardashian, contract renewals for Lionel Messi, money for Ashley Cole and so on – and it’s the same with Cristiano Ronaldo and hair gel. People notice him for it.

Gel is probably one of the first words that come to your mind when the name Cristiano Ronaldo is mentioned, just the way ‘bitter’ would be the word for Frank Ribery or ‘Hitler’ for Felix Magath. The point is, if he had used less hair gel, people wouldn’t have noticed him much and thus he would have been saved from some hate.
