5 most improved stars on the WWE roster

Eva Marie

Roman ReignsIf there is anything that separates a good professional wrestler from a bad professional wrestler, it is the mindset to learn new things. Just like life, the professional wrestling business provides one with a never-ending learning process. Wrestlers who can learn quickly and improve, end up succeeding in the business and the current WWE roster boasts of such names. Some of the names might be a bit hard to digest, but whenever such a doubt pokes up in your mind, it is highly recommended that you compare the performance of the wrestler by seeing a match from the past and a recent one. With that said, here is a look at the most improved wrestlers on the current WWE roster.

#5 Eva Marie

Eva Marie

Eva Marie is clearly not the best diva on the current roster. However, compared to how she used to wrestle a year back, Eva has definitely improved a lot. Back then, she was struggling constantly to put up even short matches and this was due to the lack of knowledge that she had about the business. Eva was just another model turned wrestler on the roster and WWE pushed her to the ring without polishing her properly.

The whole thing backfired and fans were quick to pounce on her shortcomings. Eva, however, started training with Brian Kendrick afterwards. She made a big return a couple of months back and although she still has a lot to learn, Eva did show some grace in the ring. She is a diva who could go places if used properly and it wouldn’t be long before we see her on the main roster.

#4 Big E

Big E

Big E was a solid superstar in the past as well. But what earned him a place in this list is his current gimmick. Ever since he has been part of the New Day, Big E’s career graph is on a rise. The gimmick has given him a chance to be under the spotlight and Big E made use of the opportunity perfectly.

His microphone work and in-ring psychology has seen some drastic improvements over the past few months. All these lessons could be put to good use when Big E embarks on a singles career next.

All three members of New Day are shining at the moment, but once the faction breaks up, Big E is expected to be the break out singles star.

#3 Chad Gable

Chad Gable

Chad Gable might not be a familiar name to the main roster fans but he is one of the hottest commodities in NXT right now. Chad, who has an amateur wrestling background, started wrestling in 2014. After almost a year into his new career, Chad has earned praise from all over the place. He is highly regarded in the WWE office and at the same time, got appreciated by Mick Foley recently.

He is currently 29 years old and still has a lot of years left in him. If Chad is able to improve and build himself up so much in just a year, then he could well be the next big thing in the business by next year.

#2 Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella has had a fair share of haters. In fact, she could be one of the most hated divas on the current roster. Her in ring skills is one of the major reasons why the fans hate her. Some say that she doesn’t know to wrestle and to be frank, she is no Kurt Angle or Daniel Bryan. But at the same time, it would be unfair to say that Nikki doesn’t know any wrestling. She is better than a lot of people and also, she has put in a paramount effort to learn new things.

The changes can easily be spotted if we compare a match that she had two years back and a match that she had two weeks back. Nikki has made huge improvements over the period. WWE Universe, however, refuses to change their perspective.

#1 Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns

Being born into a wrestling family doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be a ring general. It takes effort and pain to make it in the wrestling business and Reigns probably learned this lesson the hard way. In the Road to SummerSlam documentary of Shield, there is a great example of this. Reigns was compared with Rollins and Ambrose in NXT. While the latter two had experience on the independence scene, Reigns had to start from scratch.

He did just that and was eventually tagged as the next ‘John Cena’. Reigns went on to improve during and post the Shield run. He is still pretty much in the learning phase and at the current pace, Reigns stands to achieve huge success in the business. Did we miss out anyone? Let us know in the comments section.
