5 players who don't deserve to be at their current clubs

Every club has its share of stars and its share of underperformers. Some players came with a bright future but simply couldn't make it at the highestlevel whilesome players are blessed with an abundance of talent but are simply ignored by their respective club's managers. Here is a list of 5 players who should be sold by their clubs.

#1 Ashley Young

Sir Alex Ferguson signed the winger for around £20 million from Aston Villa back in 2011 and inspite of a promising first season Young has become a total liability during the past two years. The 28-year-old has been accused of diving and laclustre performances along with inconsistency during the last two seasons with the Red Devils. Young has been used sparingly by Moyes who prefers to use youngster Adnan Januzaj instead.

Wilfried Zaha, who has been brilliant for Cardiff so far, will learn and return from his loan at the end of the season and will most likely be the team's first choice left winger leaving no place for Young in the squad. It won't be long before David Moyes considers the winger deadwood and offloads him to another club due to his poor performances.

#2 Nicklas Bendtner

Bendtner has been with Arsenal since 2004 but has failed to break into the first team. The 26-year-old had a promising start but lost his scoring touch somewhere along the way. Loan moves to Sunderland and Juventus were unfruitful due to the striker failing to make a significant impact on his temporary clubs. Lukas Podolski and Yaya Sanogo have recovered from their injuries leaving Bendtner fourth in the pecking order.

It is an open secret that Bendtner is not meant to be at a club like Arsenal and it is only a matter of time before Arsene Wenger considers selling the striker. The self proclaimed 'best striker in the world' will almost certainly be sold next season. There will be very few takers in the Premier League so a move to the Championship or the Danish League will probably be best for the Dane.

#3 Demba Ba

Moving to Chelsea was the biggest mistake of Demba Ba's career. The Senegalese striker is biding most of his time on the bench at Stamford Bridge; a far cry from the striker who was scoring goals for fun at Newcastle United. The stiker has made 18 appearanes this season most of them coming from the bench and has just scored 3 goals this season. Andre Schurrle, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o are all ahead of the striker in the pecking order and the return of Romelu Lukaku next season will further limit Ba's chances.

A transfer back to Newcastle United where he was a regular starter and was loved by the fans would be best for the forward. Alan Pardew may even consider buying Ba back as the current form of loan star Loic Remy may make him too expensive for the Magpies.

#4 Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry was signed by former Manchester City manager Mark Hughes back in 2009 for a fee of £12 million and was an important part of the squad for the next four years being ever present in nearly all of City's matches. However Barry became surplus to requirements at Manchester City after the arrivals of Fernandinho and Martin DeMichelis and was sent on a season long loan to Everton at the beginning of this season.

Barry is a regular for the Toffees and is one of their most consistent players this season. The Englishman is now 33 and chances of him playing for Manchester City again are very slim. He will most likely join Everton permanently at the end of this season which is the right thing to do.

#5 Fabio Borini

The young forward was reunited with Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, who managed him in the Chelsea Reserves and at Swansea City on loan, when the Irishman paid Roma around £10 million for his services back in 2012. The 22-year-old got off to a good start at Liverpool before a dislocated shoulder brought an end to his season. Rodgers bought Daniel Sturridge as a replacement and the rest as they say is history.

The Sturridge-Suarez partnership (SAS) is currently one of the best in the world leaving no place for Borini in the squad. The Italy international is currently on loan at Sunderland where he has netted 8 goals including the winner against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup this season. A permanent move to the Black Cats would be best for both parties.
