5 Tag Teams that WWE should sign to keep the Division alive

Over the past year the WWE saw a great rise in the standards of their tag team division which even outclassed the main events in many occasions.Teams like Rhodes Brothers, Usos, Shield, Real Americans, Prime Time Players and Wyatt Family gave a lot for the fans to cheer about both on and off the ring. With the division getting such a boost, the company also decided to add the odd pairing of Curtis Axel and Ryback into the mix before digging out the New Age Outlaws from the grave. But what the company now faces is a scarcity of teams in the division which did all the above mentioned feats last year.Prime Time Players have already broken up while Shield and Real Americans are on the edge of doom. Rhodes brothers are also destined for a split up in the near future as well. Meanwhile, Outlaws are heading for retirement after their short spell and Wyatt Family is heading for bigger things. This leaves the Usos as the only credible team in the division if you count out Rybaxel and Los Matadores. And what this calls for is a reconstruction of the entire division if they are to keep the tag team wrestling alive in the company. Thankfully there are enough tag teams out there for WWE to snatch so lets take a look at the best five from the big lot.

#1 Honourable Mentions

Doin it For Her (Seth Rollins and Jimmy Jacobs- By signing Jimmy Jacobs)

John Morrison and Miz (by signing Morrison)

The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas)

Lancelot and Harlem Bravadoe

#2 Time Splitters (Alex Shelley and Kushida)

Hailing from Japan, the Time Splitters is one of those teams who could rejuvenate the chain wrestling style in WWE.

Fans familiar with TNA and Motor City Machine Guns would know what Alex Shelley could do with a tag team partner and Kushida is like the Japanese version of Chris Sabin for him. Having a well-established name like Kushida in the company will also open up the Japan market for WWE.

Since the WWE Universe is always fond of things which are new, adding in a team paring fresh from Japan would be a good thing to do.

However, the writers should give Kushida some time to adapt to American style if they are to keep the team relevant for a long run.

#3 Brian Kendrick and Paul London

Kendrick and London was one of the most exciting tag pairing that the WWE had back in the good old days.

Fascinatingly, they didn’t have a name for the team though the duo tried to convince that management that they should be called The Hooligans. Without a name, the duo had two title reigns with one lasting over 300 days and also was the best tag team of 2007.

Trained by Shawn Michaels, this pairing had a five year stay in WWE before being split up by the creative. However, after getting out of the WWE, London and Kendrick joined hands many times and still remains as one of the most bankable teams in the Indy circuit.

Being in the mould of the Usos, the team could easily gel into the division and could prove themselves to be top contenders for the title in no time.

#4 The World\'s Greatest Tag Team

Another one from the WWE Alumni, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas was on fire after their reunion in 2010.

Living up to their name, the team has proved themselves all across the world and is still highly regarded among the WWE officials. While the makeshift teams like Rybaxel doesn’t bring the essence of Tag team wrestling into the ring, it's teams like this that make us feel good about the whole “team work “ thing.

If the company decides to sign the duo, they could be used as single wrestlers on occasions as well. The fights involving them and The Usos will be mouthwatering prospects which needs to happen sooner or later.

Getting Shelton Benjamin from Japan will be a hard task to accomplish however, but we know Vince McMahon don’t we?

#5 Young Bucks

Could the list be complete without these guys?

Nick and Matt Jackson are “the” most decorated names when it comes to Indy tag team wrestling and the team also had an impressive spell at TNA under the team name Generation Me.

Their only exposure in WWE came at an ECW event where they came out portraying DX and was laid out by John Morrison and Miz The brothers clearly deserves a better slot and run in WWE and this would be a great setting to get that run.

However, what the company should avoid is to make them look like another Los Matadores and confine them from being serious contender for the titles because there is more than what meets the eyes when it comes to these guys.

#6 Briscoes

Having wrestled for almost every promotion around the world the only thing that the Briscoes needs to do in order to complete their career would be to gaze the WWE squared circle.

Briscoes boast some intriguing and weird promo skills which propels them from all others in the list. Having some unique move sets to go with it, the Briscoes will have no trouble being the next degenerates in the company.

NXT shouldn’t be the first stop for Briscoes if WWE decides to sign them since they are too good to be in development at the moment.

A mix of Wyatt Family and DX with the in ring skills of their own, Briscoes have a lot to give to the WWE tag team division which has run out of steam thanks to the company’s fondness with breaking teams up.
