Cena and Otunga

Stone Cold Steve Austin and Undertaker had an unforgettable run as tag team championThere have been many odd couples in the tag team division. There have been combinations you never thought would work, but they did. Case in point is the Rock N Sock Connection. But yet, there have been so many other odd pairings that just didnt work. At all. They were not only odd, they were not even memorable. Their reign as tag team champions or their time as tag team partners wasnt all that remarkable to begin with. Here are5 tag team champions in WWEs history that you may have completely, one hundred percent forgotten-

#1 John Cena and David Otunga

Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce you to a time when the tag team division was at its forgotten best. It was a time when worthwhile storylines just so easily fizzled away like the promising storyline of the Nexus group.

So, at Hell in a Cell, Barrett defeated John Cena and then forced him to join the Nexus. That led to this one fine and forgotten night where Cena teamed up with David Otunga and won the tag team championship.

#2 Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre

Going back to this time will show you how promising both Cody Rhodes and Drew Mcintyre were as superstars. Rhodes is still an interesting character stuck with bad writing. McIntyre though had a different fate altogether. His rise was followed by a fall from which he never recovered from. He became part of a job group like the 3 Man Band and was later released by the company,

Rhodes and McIntyre formed a much-forgotten tag team and won the tag team championship.

Rhodes has had many memorable tag team runs with his brother Goldust, Ted Debiase and even Damien Sandow. But this one remains forgotten as forgotten can be.

#3 Rico and Charlie Haas

Rico

Charlie Haas will be remembered for his tag team run with Shelton Benjamin and his alliance with his real-life wife Miss Jackie. But he once had a very forgotten tag team championship reign with Rico who had Miss Jackie as his manager.

This was another odd couple pairing. This was another instance of how odd couples cannot be remarkable enough.

Or maybe, Haas’ team with Shelton Benjamin renders all his previous tag teams forgotten. While Hass is doing good for himself in the health and fitness business, Rico is sadly broke and suffering from heart issues. You can donate to the former WWE Star Go Fund Me page by clicking here.

#4 Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree

This cultural mix of superstars should have stood out but just didn’t. It led them to win the tag team gold, but that was it. They just won it once and did not win it ever again and that is a testament to the fact that they just didn’t get over as a tag team.

They weren’t even over individually. The mix of cultures to form a tag team is the only interesting part of this alliance.

#5 Stone Cold Steve Austin and Undertaker

A forgotten alliance

Stone Cold Steve Austin has paired up with a few superstars who have had better individual careers than tag team careers, like him. They include Mick Foley and Triple H but none was as forgotten as the one with The Undertaker.

These two behemoths paired up, only to win and lose the tag team titles from Kane and Mick Foley in a matter of 3 weeks.

They had bigger fish to fry and that was the feud for the main prize in the WWE.
