NXT 2nd December 2015- 5 Points to Note

Corbin won his match easy against Tye Dillinger

Nia Jax doing her thing! While not as great as last week, this episode of NXT was still on point in developing characters and feuds. A new tag team looks set to prey closer to the championship titles, a new heel is in town and it's great for the product. The one thing that NXT thrives on, more than anything else WWE has to offer, is the clear demarcation between heels and faces. No matter how bad you think Eva Marie is at wrestling, you got to admit that she's mighty over as a heel. That nuclear heat is unlike anything in wrestling, right now full of ambiguous characters. And the cheers Bayley gets is also a sign of great babyface booking - something Triple H admitted is not easy. Here are the 5 points to note from NXT this week-

#5 The Perfect Jobber

Corbin won his match easy against Tye Dillinger

NXT is great at having performers who are over despite being booked to lose or maybe buried in the main roster. Adam Rose and Ascension are two of the best examples.

Tye Dillinger’s Perfect 10 gimmick is great just because he plays it so well. He’s arrogant sure, but he is also, trying to be hilarious and he clearly lost to Baron Corbin. The point of their match was to make The Lone Wolf seem like a force to be reckoned with and it was achieved with splendor.

#4 Another squash

Jax demolished Blue Pants

After Baron Corbin’s dominant performance, it was time for Nia Jax to face Blue Pants.

And we all knew where this was headed to.

Jax’s association with Eva Marie has definitely resulted in a lot of transfer heat. Add the attack she committed on Bayley last week and we have a promising new career in front of us. Nia Jax demolished Blue Pants as was expected.

She’s got the look to be a supernove of a powerhouse and heel combined. She has been playing her part really well on her way to a maiden championship shot.

#3 Emma\'s turn

Emma has a great bit of momentum heading to her match against Asuka

After the dominant performances by both Nia Jax and Baron Corbin, we had another character, who has been consistently interesting, get a dominant performance of her own.

Hell, Emma was superb at, well, being a heel. Her opponent had the audience on her side and that was a great sign given how one-sided the match was. Also, Dana Brooke, as seen on WWE Breaking Ground, is facing the challenges of trying to be a better wrestler. But there is no doubt that she’s turned into an entertaining promo worker.

Emma won her match only to be interrupted by someone.....

#2 \'Asuka\'s gonna kill you\'

Not taking a single wrong step

After such an overwhelming performance, Emma was interrupted by a promo from Asuka. It was simple, short and that was what made it all the more effective.

Is it the NXT’s the Full Sail arena crowd or is it the writers, or is it a combination of all of this and more? Asuka’s brief promo plus Emma giving out an apprehensive look even though for a split second, led the crowd to chant a resounding ‘Asuka’s gonna kill you’.

This feud, even without any title being on the line, has been so entertaining.

#1 Samoa Joe is here

Samoa Joe stomped his status as a heel in the main event

Okay, official announcement- Samoa Joe has been the best heel in NXT since Kevin Owens. Not only is he a brickhouse, he’s also so great with his expressions and promos and just has a hang of the psychology- something that you’d expect from a veteran like him.

He won his match with stomping authority against Tommaso Ciampo. Bah Gawd, those chops!

He was the main event and made one believe that just like Owens, he may bulldoze his way to a championship victory. With rumors swirling that Balor will be called up to the main roster, this may actually be the case.

Also with Sami Zayn returning, Joe has another great babyface that he may feud with.
