Tennis stars' wardrobe nightmares - Part III

Tennis matches not only offer offer excellent action in terms of the game, but also provide some of the most well-turned out men and women in their wide assortment of sporting gear.Unfortunately, that is not always the case, as evidenced by the recent Sony Open in Miami when both of the finalists in the mens draw wore rather dull outfits, quite ironically, for an event in the Sunshine State.A lot of the top stars have had their fair share of faults and double-faults in the wardrobe department.Heres the final part of some of the absolute worst.

#1 Pat Rafter

On a warm day in America, Rafter turned up in this thick rugby shirt. It is no surprise that he couldn't keep his cool that day.

#2 Roger Federer

Federer is one of the most elegant and majestic players out on the tennis court, but sometimes his sense of fashion, or rather that of his sponsors, has been questionable.

The gold bag accompanying the suit and trousers that he wore onto the court at one Wimbledon was one of the great man's moments that would rather be best forgotten.

#3 Greg Rusedski

Rusedski once wore this doo-rag of an outfit and thankfully, never repeated it again. He was also relentlessly mocked for his Union Jack bandana that sent all the wrong fashion messages being a Canadian, who played for Britain.

#4 Gabriela Sabatini

Sabatini was no doubt the glamour girl of women's tennis back then, but she definitely didn't turn any heads in this outfit, to go with the colourful racquet in her hands.

#5 Maria Sharapova

The ever delightful Maria Sharapova makes another appearance with this tuxedo-style top and shorts!

Her fellow Russian Alla Kudryavtseva, who beat Maria, later said: "I was pleased to beat her – I didn’t like her outfit."

#6 Radek Stepanek

I think Radek just got the sports confused as he turned up in this referee outfit resembling more an American football umpire than a tennis player.

#7 Andre Agassi

Agassi had his fair share of fashion misses as this piratey look goes to show. Ahoy!

#8 Tim Henman

This shirt tha Henman wore was so bad that the stripes often appeared bigger than his head.

#9 Yannick Noah

Noah had a habit of indulging in some comical acts while on the tennis court, including trying to balance racquets on his head and wearing ridiculously bad outfits.

#10 Venus Williams

Who else, but Venus Williams to round off this list? Venus holds the record perhaps for most number of shocking tennis wardrobes and is the undisputed queen here.

She once wore this bizarre one-piece suit to Wimbledon. It was baggy on top, had a peek-a-boo back and was so short you could see the golden hot-pants that she was wearing underneath everytime she hit the ball.
