Top 5 contenders who can work well with Barrett for the Intercontinental Title

Bad News Barrett hadnt been quite a hit with his little anecdotes in between segments but nonetheless the management believed in him enough to give him his third gimmick change since his arrival on the main roster. He did a great job of being a heel leader with Nexus and his feud with Orton. But a shoulder injury hampered a substantial push. Reportedly, he was supposed to win the WWE championship from CM Punk at Money In The Bank 2012.But now, his Bad News Gimmick is finally clicking with the audience but yet again the IC champion is just jumping from one match to another and there hasnt been a proper IC feud in a while. Here are few superstars who can get the best out of Barrett and return some intrigue to an IC title feud.

#1 Luke Harper

There is a certain hierarchy in the Wyatt Family. And Luke Harper seems to be the second in line to Wyatt. He is under the tutelage of Wyatt but his expressions are as compelling as Wyatt;s promos and his whistle is a great addition to the level of creepiness that the Wyatt Family can ensue. Barrett and Harper and provide a good, compelling, powerful brawl, for all I know.

But they can also engage in some intriguing segments given that Barrett likes to engage in making playful prophecies while Harper takes his prophecies to achieve a certain grandeur.

#2 Damien Sandow

If Sandow was as his old self then this feud with Barrett will be something to watch out for. They both have quite a personality and they’re both good talkers. Damien Sandow can provide ample enteratinment with his expressions during a match and his speaking skills during a promo. Barrett is a much more dynamic wrestller.

Remember when Cody Rhodes threw Sandow’s MITB suitcase into the Gulf of Mexico which was reminiscent of the Rock throwing the Stone Cold’s IC title back in the Attitude Era? Sandow was entertaining back then and he was considered to be promising by many until Cena came and deprived him of a chance of becoming a champion.

#3 Rusev

Okay, Rusev does not talk much but Lana does and I don’t why but I’ll find it interesting to have a Russian accent and English accent go one on one and squash matches are passe these days. Rusev needs an equal. Barrett and Rusev’s different styles of wrestling can be a treat to watch if treated properly.

#4 Dolph Ziggler

After many pushes gone wrong, Ziggler is back to the lower mid card and he still remains one of the most popular superstars. That isn’t enough. Atleast that wasn’t enough for Zack Ryder. Ziggler is finally getting some vixtories but it is very well known that Ziggler can work a feud. After Rob Van Dam, the WWE can have Ziggler constantly vying for the IC ttle only to be battled down by the odds. making it look like quite a journey for Ziggler can make the clash with Barrett all the more enticing..

#5 Randy Orton

Does Randy Orton have anything else to do, individualy? He has been stuck with Triple H whenever Creative has nothing for him. Orton had a dismal title run.

He came into the spotlight by being the Intercontinental Champion at 23 years of age and soon became the Legend Killer. and we know that Barrett and Orton have history. Orton’s involvement might bring the IC title back into the limelight.
