#5 Dudley Boys vs. Edge - Christian vs. Hardy Boys

Dudley Boyz vs. Edge-Christian vs. Hardy Boyz

This match in 2000 was an all time great SummerSlam classic that involved three of the best tag teams in the WWE history i.e. The Dudley Boys, The Hardy Boys and Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian were defending their Tag titles in a TLC match against the other two teams. Just a few weeks before SummerSlam, the then WWE Commissioner, Mick Foley announced this match. This match was also known as the WrestleMania 2000 rematch. Jeff Hardy’s failed swanton bomb outside the ring from a giant ladder says a lot about this match. This match is also one of the most extreme matches in the WWE tag team division.

#4 CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar

In 2013, a no DQ match was fought between ‘The Beast’, Brock Lesnar and ‘The Best in the World’, CM Punk. These two Heyman guys ripped each other apart and produced a show stealer that night. This was a very long and physically draining match and both the superstars produced some fantastic in-ring action. Brock impressed the crowd with his strength whereas Punk stole the hearts of the audience with his agility and quick reflexes. People loved it when Punk turned Brock’s ‘Kimura Lock’ into an ‘Anaconda Vice’. At the end, Brock may have won the match but Punk won the hearts of the WWE universe.

#3 CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy

There was an intense rivalry between CM Punk and Jeff Hardy in 2009. They’ve fought numerous matches in that year and one great match in the list was fought at the SummerSlam PPV. This was a TLC match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Jeff was badly hurt and the paramedical team tried to move Jeff to the hospital. Jeff refused their help and continued to fight. But Punk managed to kick Jeff off the ladder and seized the title for the victory. After the match, Undertaker appeared out of nowhere and delivered a chokeslam on Punk.

#2 Edge vs. Undertaker

The Rated ‘R’ Superstar, Edge and ‘The Phenom’, Undertaker were part of a spectacular match at SummerSlam 2008. Both were involved in a ‘Hell in a Cell’ match and each of them took severe beating at the hands of the other. Let me recall some spectacular moments from this match. Remember Edge spearing Taker through one of the walls of the cell?! Then again, Edge spearing Taker on the announce table?! How about Taker sending Edge through two tables with a Choke Slam?! Many great moments were a part of this match and it was the dead man who finally won the match with a tombstone.

#1 HHH vs. HBK

This probably might be the most extreme match ever fought at SummerSlam. This match took place in 2002 and involved a lot of extreme action. In a physically draining street fight that lasted for 35 minutes, Shawn Michaels emerged victorious at the end of the night. Chairs, Trash Cans, Ladders, Tables, Sledgehammers, Stairs- name any lethal weapon used in a street fight- you have them all here.
