#5 Big Boss Man vs. Mr. Perfect

Mr. Perfect lost one with Big Boss man via DQ

Mr. Perfect defended his Intercontinental Championship against Big Boss Man and the match ended in a disqualification. The title didn’t change hands here but the match acted as a perfect setting.

These two guys have always provided good wrestling matches inside the ring, but the ending could have been better. Andre getting involved was something not so impressive but as far as the match is concerned, there is no issue whatsoever as Haku and Barbarian stood by Bossman’s side.

Winner- DQ and Mr. Perfect retains the title

#4 Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel

‘Jake the Snake’ Roberts

There was one interesting match on the card between Jake Roberts and Rick Martel. The match wasn’t for any title but the stipulation was quite nteresting here. The match was fought blindfolded.

Both the superstars were masked before the match and were allowed to fight. After some action outside the ring, the superstars were back into the ring and Roberts received help from the audience with their loud chants.

At the end, Jake delivered a DDT to Martel and covered him for the victory. After the match, when both the superstars were unmasked, Jake unpacked the snake and tried to scare Martel, but the latter escaped in the knick of time.

Winner- Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts

#3 The Undertaker vs. Jimmy Snuka

The ‘Phenom Era’ begins in WWE

The Phenom started his journey to glory at WrestleMania 7 and his first opponent was Jimmy “The Superfly” Snuka. He, along with Paul Bearer, made their WrestleMania debuts and interestingly, this was the 7th match of the night. The match lasted only for 4 minutes that saw the Deadman kicking things off well.

Snuka was a famous wrestler back then and when he got exposed to the bizarre and the supernatural one, he had no choice but to lose against him. This foundation was so strong that Taker went on to hold the greatest streak in sports entertainment history.

Winner- The Undertaker

#2 The Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage

Ultimate fight

This match at WrestleMania 7 was between Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage and the stipulation was a serious one. It was a ‘Retirement match’ in which the loser would retire the same night at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Warrior received a beating for most part of the match, but it was his resilience that kept him alive throughout the bout. At the end, Savage was the one who lost the match and eventually retired. Miss Elizabeth was spotted in the crowd on a few occasions, who had a sick look on her face after Savage’s loss.

Winner- The Ultimate Warrior

#1 The Main Event

Patriotism on the line

The main event at WrestleMania 7 was between Hulk Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. This match also exemplified the concept of redemption as Hogan lost the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 6 to Ultimate Warrior and exactly a year later, he won the title back at WrestleMania 7, this time from a different opponent.

This match had a storyline linked to the patriotism of Hulk Hogan.

Hogan won the Royal Rumble in 1991 and later came to know that Slaughter was celebrating after defacing the American Flag, and this made the Hulkster irate. He promised to safeguard the glory of his motherland and promised the world that he would take back the title from Slaughter very soon.

A few days passed and Hulk was named the #1 contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship and a match between Hogan and Slaughter was scheduled for WrestleMania 7. He successfully defeated Slaughter and once again became the WWF Champion.
