A very good start to the event

High-intensity battles deliveredWe are less than a month away from the most picturesque WWE event of the year, WrestleMania 32. Talk about the list of top 5/10 sporting events in a calendar year and guess what, WrestleMania would always feature in that list. This mega-event has always contained something phenomenal and the WWE team would try everything at their disposal to make it a blockbuster. This year’s Mania would be the biggest ever in the history of the company and there is every reason to watch out for it.We, the WWE fans who have watched WWE over the years still eagerly await WrestleMania. We watch 54 RAWs, 54 SmackDowns, 54 NXTs, 11 other WWE PPVs and a lot of live events but when it comes to WrestleMania, all these shows we watch just become too ordinary.Mania is aloof and one of a kind. WrestleMania 32 is very important for the company as the WWE ratings have abated in the 12 months and the company would try to get back on track by reaping the maximum benefit from this show. The eighth edition of WrestleMania was launched under the WWF banner and it took place on April 5, 1992, at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana with an attendance of 62,000. With all this said, we will quickly go and recap some of the interesting things from WrestleMania 8-

#5 Shawn Michaels vs. El Matador

A very good start to the event

This was a very important moment for Shawn Michaels as this was his first WrestleMania singles match. He was one of the best performers at Mania and the qualities that earned him the moniker “Mr. WrestleMania” were starting to emerge.

In this match, the Sensational Sherri sided with Michaels and the match lasted for more than 10 minutes. Both guys put on a great match and this contest is impressive because of the acrobatic moves by both the wrestlers. Michaels won the match comfortably and opened his WrestleMania (singles) account on a positive note.

Winner: Shawn Michaels

#4 The Undertaker vs. Jake Roberts

The Phenom makes it 2-0 at WrestleMania

Jake Roberts went into the match without an important asset, Damien the Snake. The Phenom and Roberts put on a good match at WrestleMania 8 and it was Undertaker who won the fight. After Jake delivered a DDT to Undertaker and covered him, Paul Bearer distracted him by showing him the urn.

This disturbed the proceedings and there was some action that took place on the floor. Undertaker delivered a tombstone on the floor and the crowd savored it to the fullest. Taker covered Jake for the victory and went 2-0 at Mania.

Winner: The Undertaker

#3 Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper

The best there is...the best there was...the best there will be....

In a match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, Bret Hart challenged the Champion, Roddy Piper. In a match that lasted for over 13 minutes, Hart defeated Roddy Piper and captured the gold.

In this match, Roddy Piper was the baby face and it was the Hitman who played the role of an angry young man. A lot of action took place outside the ring and the referee was knocked down during the match. Bret Hart won after a sleeper-reversal for the victory.

Winner: Bret Hart (new IC Champion)

#2 Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice

A big match that ended in a DQ

In the second main event, Hulk Hogan defeated Sid Justice by disqualification. The impressive thing here is that Hulk Hogan made it to the main event of WrestleMania for the 8th straight time.

As was the case with Hulk always, he powered up during the closing moments of the match, delivered the big boot, body slam and a leg drop. When Hulk covered Sid for the victory, Harvey Wippleman came into the picture and led to a DQ.

The referee asked for the time keeper to ring the bell and declared Hogan as the winner.

Winner: Hulk Hogan by DQ

#1 Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage

Ric Flair makes it to the main event at WrestleMania

WWF initially had different plans for the main event. The expected thing was to have a match between Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship. The company had to change their plans and they went ahead with two main events - Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship and the other being Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice.

In the first match, Savage defeated Ric Flair and won the WWF title. It was a special moment for Randy Savage because in the previous year, he declared his retirement after losing to Ultimate Warrior and for Ric Flair, this was a special match as this was his first WrestleMania appearance.

Winner - Randy Savage
