5 Dream Tag Teams that the Fans would Love to see

We have seen a lot of Tag Teams over the years. Some went on to become legendary, others went on to be great and then the remaining ended up being mere jobbers. Seeing all those teams, one would’ve imagined at one point or the other about a ‘what if’ scenario involving two superstars pairing up.Some single superstars had the caliber to be a part of great tag teams with the right partner but for some reason, the WWE never thought of booking outside their comfort zone. There are a lot of dream tag teams out there who would have ruled the division and at the same time would’ve drawn big crowds wherever they went, so here is a look at some of those pairings.

#5 Brock Lesnar and Goldberg

Goldberg might be a bit overrated when it comes to his wrestling skills, but no one can take away his dominance. He ran through the WCW roster like everyone was jobbers and piled up a winning streak with just two moves.

Lesnar, on the other hand, is another dominant name in the business with the latest achievement being Undertaker’s streak. These two had a horrible singles match back in WrestleMania XX but things could turn out positive once they team up.

Since Lesnar and Goldberg aren’t the brightest talkers, keeping Paul Heyman as the manager is also a great addition. With the right booking, they might end up being one of the greatest ever.

#4 John Cena and Randy Orton

Apparently these two have wrestled as teammates on various occasions but they never had a full-fledged run as a tag team. Orton and Cena have wrestled against eachother for a million times so the fans would not want to see them doing that again.

A tag team, on the other hand, would be a great alternative. They know eachother from the OVW days itself and there would not be any bit lacking in terms of chemistry.

They could use the RKO attitude Adjustment as the finishing move and with a good enough fancy name, Cena and Orton can go on to have long reigns at Tag Team champions and breathe back some credibility into the division.

#3 CM Punk and Steve Austin

Two of the most decorated rebels in professional wrestling teaming up to form a rebel team against the Authority is always a great sight to see. Apart from being die hard rebels, they are great microphone workers as well which ensures entertainment.

On any day, these two could bring back the aura of Attitude Era if teamed up. If WWE ever wants to build an Authority vs. Rebels feud that could main event WrestleMania, then these two deserve to be there.

As far as the in ring action is concerned, we know how good there are in between the ropes ensuring a perfect package if WWE ever decides to team these two together in the future.

#2 Undertaker and Shawn Michaels

Forget D-Generation X; forget The Brothers of Destruction, just imagine Shawn Michaels and Undertaker being a tag team. Let that excitement sink in, take deep breaths.

Taker and Michaels are responsible for giving some of the best matches in WWE history and they are two superstars who know how to keep the fans rooted. They are polar opposites when it comes to the wrestling style but that is the beauty of this dream team.

The Phenom will bring in the power game and creepiness into the mix while Michaels would be technically apt while selling brilliantly. But thanks to Taker’s health and Michaels’ retirement, this team would probably be never seen.

#1 Chris Benoit and Daniel Bryan

If it wasn’t for the cruel clutches of death, Chris Benoit would’ve been still ruling the WWE roster. There are a lot of possible singles matches that he could have had but if there was a possible tag team partner for Benoit, it had to be Daniel Bryan.

The Flying goat draws inspiration from Benoit and the wrestling style of both men is almost identical. Above all, they know how to wrestle unlike half of the current roster.

These two would’ve ruled the Tag Team division without any doubt and even though the promo ability is nowhere near great, they would have easily covered it up with the way they wrestled in between the ropes.
