5 most powerful wrestlers of the Reality Era

Yes, you read it right, Reality Era is the present Era of the WWE, and as such we take a look at the 5 most powerful wrestlers presently in the WWE.

#5 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has manhandled almost every big superstar that he has faced. The former NCAA wrestling champion, has gone on to establish a name for himself, as one of the strongest, destructive and intimidating superstars in the WWE.

From Hulk Hogan to The Rock, from Mark Henry to Rikishi, from John Cena to The Undertaker, Lesnar has levelled them all with his monstrous F5. It’s not only his strength but also his agility that helps him stand out.

The World witnessed the legendary streak of The Undertaker come to an end at the hands of Lesnar very recently at the WrestleMania XXX, and that speaks volumes about the respect Lesnar commands within the industry.

#4 John Cena

He is the most decorated superstar of recent times and arguably one of the greatest superstars to have graced the WWE. Cena has done it all from winning numerous WWE and World Heavyweight Championship to executing the Attitude Adjustment on 500+ pounders like Big Show or Mark Henry.

But, it was not until WrestleMania XXV that fans witnessed the true strength of Cena on the grandest of stages. Competing against Big Show and Edge, he lifted both of his opponents on his shoulders to deliver the Attitude Adjustment. The combined weight of the two superstars was in excess of 740 pounds. The crowd which was still recovering from the epic encounter between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, erupted and the strength of Cena was for all to see.

#3 Big E

In the build up to the WrestleMania XXVIII clash between John Cena and The Rock, the Wrestling world witnessed first of many heroics of Big E, as he bench pressed an impressive 575-pounds as he broke Cena’s record.

Big E is a former power lifter and holds four records of the Florida state. He has deadlifted 799-pounds while having squatted 711-pounds. Years of practice, training has helped him excel between the ropes and is set for a huge push from the WWE this year.

#2 Cesaro

One might argue that Cesaro doesn’t have the body of some of the stellar names to have featured in this list, but its natural strength that helps Cesaro make it at #2.

Cesaro has impressed the audience with his combination of unbridled power and his ability to manhandle an opponent of any size, shape or weight.

Swinging the 400-plus pound Great Khali or delivering the Neutralizer on the World’s Largest Athlete The Big Show, Cesaro has done it all, and is set for a huge push from WWE this year.

#1 Mark Henry

Mark Henry has been billed as the World’s Strongest Man by the WWE and rightly so. He is one of the great power lifters in the United States Olympic team history and was on course to win at least one Olympic Gold medal had it not been for the injury he suffered during the 1996 games in Atlanta. Before that he was a first-place finisher in every major weightlifting competition in the country.

WWE knocked on the door and Mark obliged, with his strength being immensely hyped by Vince McMahon. However, Henry for the first half of his career was a very average wrestler who was ineffective at best between the ropes.

In the second coming of Henry, when he lost the excess eight and focussed more on the wrestling aspects that he began to make his name as a true competitor. He competed and learned from the best stars of the industry.

The World Strongest Man’s hard work and dedication paid off when he captured the WWE World Heavyweight Title defeating Randy Orton in 2011.

His World Strongest Slam and his gimmicks of raw power and fury have gained him the reputation for being the most powerful wrestler of the Reality Era and probably the most powerful in history.
