5 Tag teams that we would like to see return

Age is a bar, but still.

MNM could make an impactTag team wrestling might always be second fiddle to the singles competition but that does not take away the importance and brilliance that is involved in the art form. It is hard to tell when tag team wrestling was at its peak in WWE.Some say that it was during the Attitude Era where we got to see legendary bouts while some say that the glory days of Tag team wrestling happened during the Golden era. The current tag team division is apparently miles away from those days, but some additions could change things in a jiffy. So here are some of the tag teams that we would like to see return into the WWE.

#5 Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty

Age is a bar, but still.

The pairing of Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty was a fun one.

The big guy – small guy combination worked wonders with these two and though their run was a short one, it had its impact. Scotty’s worm and Rikishi’s antics in the corner turned out to be cult moves and all these helped the team to get a huge fan base.

Even today, if Rikishi and Scotty come in, they are bound to get huge cheers from the fans. Age is a factor that works against them, so it would be best if WWE keeps him as a filler tag team rather than actual contenders for the Tag team championship.

These two could have a long feud with Social Outcasts just for the sake of some comedic relief.

#4 MNM

A short run at least

MNM always attracted a mixed response from the fans. A portion of the fans hated them for some reasons when another portion of the fans loved them. But no one can say that they didn’t have talent.

The pairing of Joey Mercury and John Morrison excelled in between the ropes and Melina was the added on attraction.

Mercury’s career spun off due to his fight with the demons and as Morrison found success as a singles wrestler, the team broke up. If they are to make a return to the tag team division, a pop is guaranteed. Also, they could have a short run with the tag titles.

#3 Brian Kendrick and Paul London

Still has something to contribute

The reason why Paul London and Brian Kendrick never took off in the WWE was because of the grudge they had with Vince McMahon.

Both the superstars were not in the good list of Vince and it ultimately affected their careers. However, this tag team was fun while it lasted. They won numerous tag team titles and the pace that they showed in the ring was impressive.

Kendrick recently came into WWE’s spotlight once again for training Eva Marie and he did a good job with it too. London is spending his time in the Indies right now and if WWE decides to bring these two back, it would be a met with a warm reception from the WWE fans.

#2 The Worlds greatest tag team

Their name is justified

These guys are perhaps the most underrated Tag team in the history of WWE.

Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas had an immense amount of chemistry as a team and they did not get the accolades they deserved for their talent. These two had a stint on the independent circuit after leaving WWE and showed that they never went out of touch.

They might be far away from their prime, but just like most of the other teams on this list; these two guys still have something to contribute to the division. Once the run comes to an end, both superstars could have a singles run in the company as well.

#1 Hardy Boyz

Bring back the attitude

Ever since the Dudley Boyz made their return to WWE, we were calling out for the return of Hardy Boyz as well.

These two tag teams made for the backbone of the tag team division in Attitude Era and they still have a lot of gas left in them to make an impact. The introduction of Hardy Boyz would only take the graph upwards.

Hardy Boyz vs. The Usos is one match in particular that would stand out. It is a dream match for most tag team lovers and we would also be able to see a Hardy Boyz vs. New Day showdown.

The potential feud with Dudley Boyz, on the other hand, will come in as a trip back to the Attitude Era. Who did we miss? Let us know in the comments.
