5 Things WWE fans want to see before WrestleMania 31

WWE closed off another big chapter of 2014 with Survivor Series. Though it’s pretty much early to be frank, everyone knows that the company is on the verge of the road to WrestleMania. The biggest pay-per-view in the wrestling calendar is just months away and there have been numerous rumors about how the show would end up like. However, before Vince McMahon starts to lay down his plans for WrestleMania, there are certain things that need to be done.WWE Universe has been extra critical about the product for ages now and here is a look at some of the things that they would love to see before WrestleMania 31 arrives.

#6 Honorable mention: of course, this guy needs to show up

The main event for the WWE championship is going to be the biggest draw at WrestleMania now that the Undertaker’s streak has ended. So if WWE can’t convince Lesnar to show up before WrestleMania, they will have to sweat a lot to sell the pay-per-view and build up the storyline.

#5 John Cena losing cleanly to a youngster

When Bray Wyatt feuded with John Cena ahead of last year’s WrestleMania, the fans wanted to see Bray getting over at the expense of Cena. That didn’t happen and WWE blew a big chance to morph Bray into a main event player.

The fans have been tired of Cena getting the upper hand every time and WWE needs to give something new before they plot the WrestleMania plans.

Best way to do that would be to let a youngster win clean against Cena. it would not only make up a new star, but it will also help WWE to break off their image.

Now, the candidates to get the job done include Rusev, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose or Roman Reigns. And yes, Dolph Ziggler counts as a youngster in this occasion.

#4 A stable with NXT guys

NXT is spilling with talent. There are the lights of Prince Devitt, Kenta, Kevin Steen, Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, The Ascension and a whole lot of other names that could make a big impact in the main roster.

WWE is going to let these superstars debut at one point or the other but the problem with separate debuts would be the predictability. The company has seen many talents being ignored by the fans due to a botched singles debut and no one would want to waste such a talented array in a similar way.

This gives the idea of a stable with NXT superstars. Last time WWE tried something similar, the Nexus was born and this time, they could make it bigger and better.

A battle between the NXT guys and main roster superstars will be a treat and could run all the way to WrestleMania as well.

#3 An all-out war against CM Punk

The things CM Punk said on Colt Cabana’s podcast were a big blow to the WWE. However, at the same time, it’s a gold mine for Vince McMahon.

WWE Universe has always loved controversial angles and this is controversy at its best. The situation with Punk is similar to the ones WWE had with Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan or Randy Savage in the past. Back then, WWE made good use of the situation and transformed it into a controversial angle.

They could do the same here. A spoof character of Punk in the main roster would be entertaining so would be taking continuous shots at him. Since there will be a sense of unpredictability on what the company would do with Punk’s name next, it’ll attract eyeballs as well.

#2 Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble

Reigns is ready to be crowned as the new face of WWE. His in ring performance has shown improvement after his debut while the acting classes he took up is doing wonders about his promo skills as well.

What Reigns needs now is an opportunity and a stage to show the world the he deserves to be on top. And Royal Rumble is the best opportunity for the WWE to push him.

Reigns is expected to make his return in time for TLC. He will clearly be entering Royal Rumble as the favorite and the creative team should ensure that he gets the win.

This would guarantee a WrestleMania main event spot for the Samoan Superman and possibly a championship win that’ll set the ball rolling.

#1 An appearance from the Undertaker

Taker has a legacy in the WWE that isn’t all about his WrestleMania streak. However, from what we are seeing now, WWE apparently thinks the exact opposite.

The Phenom hasn’t made an appearance after his streak ended at WrestleMania. His physical situation is the reason why he hasn’t wrestled a match after that but still it doesn’t explain why the company hasn’t shown him on television yet.

The fans were eager to know his response after the streak ended and a simple promo from the Phenom would’ve done the job. WWE might or might not feature Taker at next year’s WrestleMania and even if it’s either way, Taker has to make one appearance before the granddaddy of them all arrives.
