5 Things WWE fans would love to see in 2015

The first week of 2015 failed to produce goosebumps among the WWE Universe thanks to the creative’s habit of messing things up. Authority returning to the scene wasn’t exactly what the fans wanted and the firing of three baby faces made matter worst. However, despite all these lows, it is still early days for the company. There is enough time to turn around their luck in 2015 and transform it into a memorable year for the fans.Sitting around and booking like kinder garden students are not going to get the job done but taking some risks would work wonders. So here is a look at some of the things that WWE Universe would love to see this year at WWE.

#6 Honourable mention: CM Punks return

This might be a long shot but since we are talking about professional wrestling here, the chances of seeing CM Punk make a big return cannot be counted out.

Punk is all set to make his debut in UFC this year and if things dont turn out pretty good he might just turn back to WWE. Vince McMahon made it clear that the doorwill always be open for Punk so the only thing that needs to happen is Punk screwing up his UFC run.

#5 Vince McMahons retirement

A lot of WWE fans have been calling out for Vince McMahon’s retirement for a long time now but the momentum gathered up big time last year. This was because of the superiority and success that NXT had over the main roster product.

Triple H did a wonderful job in running the developmental circuit in 2014. He kept matters simple to the core and told stories through in ring action rather than the soap opera that Vince McMahon provided.

Hunter would be an obvious choice to replace Vince if he retires but the problem is he doesn’t want to retire. The last time he was asked about retirement, Vince said about feeling better than ever which is never good news for the fans.

#4 John Cena losing clean at WrestleMania

Some WWE fans out there would die to see Cena lose a match clean these days. Even though this miracle happens every once in a while on the weekly shows, Cena losing cleanly at Mania is what everyone wants to see.

Last year, WWE could’ve done the same if they let Bray Wyatt win the match, but since that didn’t happen; all eyes would be rooted towards this year.

There isn’t any hint on whom Cena would face at this year’s WrestleMania but if it isn’t any part timer like Brock Lesnar or Rock, the company should let Cena take a drop and show the world that WWE is not only about John Cena.

#3 Undertakers farewell speech

WWE has not given any update on Undertaker’s condition after his WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar. He might or might not wrestle again in the squared circle but what’s best for Taker would be a retirement.

From what we know, he is nowhere near being fit for another match. Even if Taker makes it to the scene, he would only end up embarrassing himself and give a forgettable match rather than the classics he is known for.

So the best thing for everyone involved except the fans is a retirement from the Phenom. And instead of letting him be, WWE should drag him back into the ring for one last promo where he should bid farewell to his loyal fans.

#2 Roman Reigns becoming the WWE Champion

Roman Reigns has managed to evoke reactions similar to John Cena even though he has spent only two years in the company. The fans are split down the middle when it comes to him as some people love to hate him while the rest love him.

On a neutral note, Reigns might not be the best in ring performer in the WWE roster but he sure has the potential to reach Cena’s level. It is his horrible microphone work that stands between him and stardom and if WWE can work around it, Reigns could produce wonders.

This need not happen at WrestleMania but at some point of the year, Reigns should walk out with the WWE Championship around his waist if WWE wants to do something big with him.

#1 Stings in-ring debut

2014 witnessed the much-awaited debut of Sting in WWE but 2015 has the potential to stage his in-ring debut. Sting might be in his fifties right now but he still has the star power to draw big for the company in his debut match.

Triple H will be the obvious pick to face the Icon now that the Authority has returned while WrestleMania 31 is set to be the PPV where he should compete his first ever match. The dream match against Undertaker is clearly not happening as things stand now but hope as always is a good thing.

If the company pushes through the year without letting Sting get into the ring, that might go down in history as one of the biggest blunders.
