8 reasons why Seth Rollins should turn Babyface

The Architect Seth Rollins broke the hearts of even the most manliest men when he destroyed The Shield and sold out to The Authority last year. Since then, hes slowly been building himself up to the WWEs top heel, winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and effortlessly taking Randy Ortons place as the face and future of the company after a well placed curb stomp.Despite a loss to Orton earlier on in the night, Rollins would end up main eventing WrestleMania when he cashed in and pinned Roman Reigns to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. His career is on the rise and shows no signs of slowing down. However, while he might be excelling as a heel right now, a face turn for Seth Rollins is Whats Best for Business.

#1 It Makes The Brock Lesnar Rematch More Interesting

Rumour has it that Brock Lesnar wont return to the WWE until SummerSlam, and based on how things ended between him and Seth Rollins, it would be genuinely very surprising if his first opponent isnt the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins will probably still be champion then too, but making him a babyface would be much more interesting.

Lesnar works better as a heel, and while he was getting a babyface reaction from the crowd on the Raw after WrestleMania, he only needs to come back and take out a fan-favourite to change the audiences minds. By that point, Rollins could be the WWE Universes top babyface as he confidently steps up to take Lesnar down definitively once and for all.

#2 Roman Reigns needs to turn Heel

The Roman Reigns experiment has failed. John Cena and Chris Jericho may spray laurels about himon a WWE Network podcast on a 24/7 schedule, but it doesnt change the fact that hes neither talented enough in the ring or on the microphone to be the guy VInce McMahon wants him to. It might happen one day, but its clearly still way too soon.

Roman works better as a heel, but having him team up with Rollins as part of The Authority would make no sense. They could be heels at the same time, but ideally, Seth should be put in the position that Roman currently is. Reigns needs to show off those Somoan traits Paul Heyman was putting him over with, and a babyface Rollins being his target would work.

#3 The fans like him too much

Seth Rollins isnt one of those heels who fans boo because theyre told to and hes not booed because people dont want to see him. The WWE Universe enjoys hating him, something which in part goes all the way back to him being the one to destroy The Shield. Rollins has the kind of connection which helped transform CM Punk into a fan-favourite.

WrestleMania audience or not, the reaction Seth received when he cashed in says it all. As time goes on, chances are that hes going to become a heel who is cheered. Hes too good on the microphone and in the ring for it not to happen, so waiting for the right moment in the coming months and having him turn face would be the smartest possible move.

#4 His Style is better suited to a Babyface

Regardless of whether its in a match with Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, or Neville, Seth Rollins is someone who gets fans excited. However, its hard to capitalise on his high flying and riskystyle when hes a heel. When he performs a Phoenix Splash or some other risky manoeuvre, the WWE Universe want to get out of their seats and cheer the guy.

However, Vince doesnt want fans cheering for heels and could be holding Rollins back as a result. Even the curb stomp would lend itself nicely to a babyface Seth Rollins as its the kind of move which can come out of nowhere like the RKO to completely turn the tide of a match in an instant.

#5 WWE needs to refresh

It feels strange to call Sheamus a breath of fresh airbut thats exactly what the Celtic Warrior felt like when he returned as a heel recently. Randy Orton being a face makes a nice change, but these two arent the only ones who could do with a change of outlook.

Daniel Bryan has lost a lot of momentum since returning for whatever reason, those YES! chants arent as loud and a heel turn for him could work fantastically. Long story short, Seth Rollins becoming a babyface would genuinely shock fans, especially if it was done the right way. Would a heel Bryan vs. a babyface Rollins be something new? YES! YES! YES!

#6 He really is the future

Who is the next face of the WWE? Right now, its hard to say which WWE Superstar is destined to join the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and John Cena, but Seth Rollins seems like the way to go. Hes young 28 and if the past year has proven anything, its that he has everything required to be someone who can be a lasting star in the WWE.

Rollins doesnt have the difficult attitude of CM Punk and is a million times more interesting and versatile than John Cena. He also has the right look too.

#7 Its been too long since there was a Babyface Champion

Daniel Bryan was the last babyface to hold the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and his reign was obviously ended far too early due to injury. Before (and for a short time after) that it was John Cena, but since Bryan dropped the belt, fans have had no one to rally behind. Brock Lesnar was obviously greatwhen he actually showed up with the title!

A face turn for Seth Rollins wont be hard, and as mentioned earlier in this feature, it allows Brock Lesnar to keep his heel status by getting the WWE Universe to rally around the curb stomping superstar. A non-heel WWE World Heavyweight Champion would just make for a nice change of pace, and Rollins is currently the best possible choice. It would probably be a lot of fun seeing J&J Security as babyfaces too

#8 The inevitable Shield Reunion

The Shield had a huge impact on the WWE, and while Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns are all focused on making a name for themselves as singles competitors right now, some sort of reunion or team up between this trio is an inevitability somewhere down the line (as is a Triple Threat featuring all three men going to war with each other hopefully).

If Reigns and Ambrose are going to remain babyfaces, having Rollins turn nicely sets the stage for him to rejoin themeven if its just a one off.Can you imagine a babyface Seth Rollins squaring off with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam only for The Shield to appear and help him win? Thats why this needs to happen at some point in the very near future
